PIE MAKING WITH A PRO
Learn to make and bake a pie from scratch with Judy Balunda, owner of Judy Pie on Main Street in Grapevine! During this two-hour class, Judy will teach you how to make her famous banana pudding pie from scratch, from making the perfect pie crust to adding scrumptious filling. Then bake at just the right temperature and you will have yourself the perfect pie to impress your friends and family with year-round! Plus, you will be able to truly say that you know how to make a pie from scratch. The best part? You will get to sample freshly baked, perfect pies at the end of class AND take a pie home. SUSHI MAKING AND SAKE TASTING CLASS
Grab your special someone or group of friends for a night of making sushi and sampling sake with Chef Ethan Starr, full-time instructor of The Culinary School of Fort Worth and past Head Sushi Chef and Sous Chef at Tokyo Café. During this unique class, the chef will teach you all about identifying and selecting quality ingredients, the sushi making process from start to finish, and training on the different types of sushi… all while trying out the sushi you make that will be paired with a specific sake! Not only will you learn to make your very own sushi with high-quality ingredients, but there will be enough for you to take home as well. Plus, you get to leave with the tools you need to show off your own sushi skills at home! TEXAS LICENSE TO CARRY CLASS
Lessons on use of force and deadly force, restrictions on carry, verbal skills, situational awareness, safe storage and firearms safety. By law instructors don’t teach students to shoot as part this class. Students must pass a 50 round shooting proficiency. Additional gun range fee of $20 paid to instructor. Private shooting lessons are available separately by appointment. Please bring sack lunch. TEXAS CONSTITUTIONAL CARRY
There is NO training requirement to engage in ‘Constitutional Carry’, but all of the laws regulating force and firearms still apply. There are different regulations on carry depending on whether or not an individual has an LTC. The material presented in the first 4 hours applies to both those seeking an LTC and persons desiring to Constitutionally Carry. Topics covered: laws justifying force and deadly force in self-defense, regulations on carry, safe storage handgun use, and verbal de-escalation. WOMEN’S SELF-DEFENSE
In this close contact class, learn situational awareness, setting boundaries and release and break away techniques. Learn to escape, not fight! Learn to use your voice! BLENDED BABYSITTING AND PEDIATRIC CPR/FIRST AID
This blended course for Pediatric CPR/First Aid combines award-winning, engaging, and interactive online simulation learning, plus an in person classroom session to learn and practice critical lifesaving skills for certification. This course covers a variety of topics including: preventing accidents and illnesses, basic first aid, reviewing choking procedures, rescue breathing and making professional decisions in babysitting. This class is 90% participation. There will be a 30-minute lunch break so please provide your own lunch, snack, and drink. BLENDED LEARNING CPR
This blended course for CPR/First Aid combines award-winning, engaging, and interactive online simulation learning plus an in person classroom session to learn and practice critical lifesaving skills for certification. This course prepares you to rescue victims who are experiencing cardiopulmonary distress. Course includes information on adult, child, and infant CPR, along with first aid for a variety of conditions including bleeding, injuries to bones, muscles and joints, sudden illness, and heat and cold injuries. Successful participants earn two certificates: American Red Cross Community CPR (valid for 2 years), and ARC Community First Aid (valid for 2 years). There will be a 30-minute lunch break so please provide your own lunch, snack, and drink.
