Faith comes in the space between God’s Promise and the fulfillment of that promise. God promised a Savior who would come to earth to take away the sins of the world. He kept his promise and sent his son Jesus to earth as a baby who would one day grow up to face horrible circumstances and ultimately death so we could have eternal life. God loves us so much and He keeps his promises.
In our lifetime, we didn’t have to wait for the fulfillment of the promise of a Savior. Jesus came! He walked on earth and shared humanity with us. He is approachable, forgiving and kind. But the story isn’t over yet! He promised to come back to earth to gather his people into eternity. So now, we wait for His return. What will we do in the waiting?
Are you waiting on the fulfillment of a promise in your life? Let’s face it, life can get messy and at times it’s easy to lose hope During the last few years, I have been waiting for God to restore my voice
I once could sing and worship effortlessly but now am faced with a hole in my heart where grief lives.
But God keeps his promises and replaces grief with hope and silence with a song. I will continue to worship in the middle– in the waiting, I will put my faith and hope in Jesus Christ.
In the Middle was written by Jamie during this challenging season. When he shared it, it brought me to tears. It is a genuine reflection of how much our God loves us in every season, but especially in times of trials and loss We hope it will minister to your heart and encourage you as well
May the God of hope fill you with peace and joy this Christmas season as we remember his Promises and wait for his triumphant return.
