March, 2017
The Grapevine Chamber’s Luncheon, March 16, sponsored by Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southlake and catered by Willhoite’s Restaurant, will spotlight #WeAreTheChamber and what’s happening with some of the Chamber’s programs and committees.
One of the marketing initiatives this year is to promote #WeAreTheChamber, a way to promote the membership of the Chamber on Social Media. Come join us to learn what it means, how it involves the membership and how to use it. Also, the luncheon will take time to bring awareness to a few of the Chamber’s committees and programs, including: AMPT – Young Professionals, Grapevine Children’s Alliance, Senior Services Alliance and the Leadership Grapevine Alumni Association. Make plans to attend the
luncheon at the Grapevine Convention Center, located at 1209 S. Main St. (at the corner of Vine St. & Municipal Way). The cost is $25 with a reservation by 5 p.m., Tuesday, March 14, or $40 after that date. There is a $5 fee for invoicing, and all reservations not canceled by 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, will be billed. Reservations can be made by contacting the Grapevine Chamber at (817)481-1522, emailing info@grapevinechamber.org or visiting the Chamber website’s Events Page.
Procurement Fair Success
Spring is almost upon us, and the Chamber continues to generate unbelievable opportunities and results for the Chamber membership and our business community. These efforts were clearly on display at the 2017 DFW Veterans Summit & Procurement Fair, February 22, at the Grapevine Convention
Center. This Procurement Fair, in partnership with Lockheed Martin, featured more than 20 prime contractors, 40 business exhibitors and 280 total attendees. The focus of the event was to provide small businesses the opportunity to meet and do business with big businesses. Local small businesses were able to meet one-on-one with two of the prime contractors of their choice. Some of the

prime contractors that local businesses could meet with included Lockheed Martin, Shell, American Airlines and Southwest Airlines, to name a few. Lockheed Martin was so impressed with the way your Chamber staff executed this event, they made a considerable donation to the Grapevine Chamber Foundation, the charitable arm of our organization.
