To All Members of the Grapevine Chamber: The Grapevine Chamber is operated by a Board of Directors made up of twenty-three Chamber members. Nine members serve with three-year terms in three member cycles. There are four one-year appointments and seven exofficio members. The Chairmanship rotation is a three-year term, so that the individuals appointed to serve as Chair-Elect, Chair and Immediate Past Chair will be able to fulfill their obligation. The CEO also serves on the Board as the Secretary. Those nominated will be presented at the October meeting of the Grapevine Chamber Board of Directors. Nominating Committee within ten days after this notice has been given of the name nominated. The determination of the nominating committee as the legality of the petition(s) shall be final. If no petition is filed within the designated period of ten days, the nominations shall be closed and the candidate shall be declared elected by the Board of Directors at their next regular board meeting. In the selection process, the nominating committee reviewed the various events, activities and committees of the Chamber to find members who were involved in the organization’s goals and activities, either through time, money or talents. They also took into consideration those members who expressed interest in serving on the board and were committed to the time involved in this service to our Chamber and business community. Several names were presented to the nominating committee of members who were interested in serving on the Board as well as officer positions. If you would like to be considered for a future board position, you are encouraged to: 1) Get involved in the Grapevine Chamber’s committees, events or activities, and / or; 2) Let someone know of your interest - either a Board Member, Executive Board Member or Chamber CEO. The mission of the Grapevine Chamber of Commerce is to collaborate, communicate, connect, and advocate for business to add value to our community. It takes all of the member businesses working together to develop a stronger organization as well as community. As a member run organization, that involvement is critical to the continued growth and development of the Chamber. All members are appreciated for their support, involvement and dedication. Governor Greg Abbott has issued a proclamation setting Tuesday, November 2, 2021 as the special election day for eight proposed constitutional amendments in Texas. The eight proposed constitutional amendments on the ballot are: PROPOSITION 1: The constitutional amendment authorizing the professional sports team charitable foundations of organizations sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association or the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association to conduct charitable raffles at rodeo venues.

PROPOSITION 2: The constitutional amendment authorizing a county to finance the development or redevelopment of transportation or infrastructure in unproductive, underdeveloped, or blighted areas in the county. PROPOSITION 3: The constitutional amendment to prohibit this state or a political subdivision of this state from prohibiting or limiting religious services of religious organizations. PROPOSITION 4: The constitutional amendment changing the eligibility requirements for a justice of the supreme court, a judge of the court of criminal appeals, a justice of a court of appeals, and a district judge. PROPOSITION 5: The constitutional amendment providing additional powers to the State Commission on Judicial Conduct with respect to candidates for judicial office. PROPOSITION 6: The constitutional amendment establishing a right for residents of certain facilities to designate an essential caregiver for in-person visitation. PROPOSITION 7: The constitutional amendment to allow the surviving spouse of a person who is disabled to receive a limitation on the school district ad valorem taxes on the spouse’s residence homestead if the spouse is 55 years of age or older at the time of the person’s death. PROPOSITION 8: The constitutional amendment authorizing the legislature to provide for an exemption from ad valorem taxation of all or part of the market value of the residence homestead of the surviving spouse of a member of the armed services of the United States who is killed or fatally injured in the line of duty.

Cindy serves as a board member of the Morgan Stanley Women’s Advisor Council. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Cindy spent the better part of her financial services career in the insurance industry working with business professionals to meet their life, disability, and long term care insurance needs. Through her disciplined process and goals based approach Cindy helps to create customized strategies for clients to help meet their financial goals in order to maintain their lifestyle into retirement. Cindy understands that planning goes far beyond just managing investments. Her goal is to help you achieve your financial goals through a long term, side by side relationship built on trust. Outside of her professional life, Cindy enjoys spending time with her husband (and high school sweetheart) George as well as her two adult sons and daughter-in-love.
