Meet the need

On the first Sunday of each month we collect a special offering called the Meet the Need offering. The money is used to help less fortunate people in the Vancouver area, through the following ministries: • Granville Chapel Community Meal • Kinbrace: provides housing for refugees in Vancouver • Mothers Offering Mentorship and Support (MOMS) • Crossroads Community Meal • Vancouver Crisis Pregnancy Centre • City Gate Leadership Forum: addresses homelessness and food security issues by equipping organisations • JustWork: a social enterprise providing meaningful work to those facing barriers to employment • Jacob’s Well: seeking mutually transformative friendships with people on the margins Summer Prayer Focus: Those in our community and our city who are in need, that they would find the help they require. If you would like to donate to our Meet The Need offering, please follow the guidance in our Distance Giving notice, but ensure that you mark the donation as MTN - whether as a designation on a cheque or PAD form, or selecting the correct drop down option online.

GIVING DURING OUR ONLINE SERVICES

As part of our worship, we take an offering on Sunday mornings during our gatherings. It is important to note that without meeting together regularly and participating in the weekly offering, the church finances are likely to take a hit if our giving decreases. There are several convenient ways to continue your regular giving: • Pre-Authorized Debit: We have PAD forms available to download off our website by which you can set up an automatic recurring donation directly from your bank account. • Credit Card Online: The option to donate by credit card is available on our website (an admin fee will be deducted by CanadaHelps before disbursing the gift to Granville Chapel; CanadaHelps will also issue your charitable tax receipt). • Cheque: Donations by cheque can be made payable to Granville Chapel and dropped off or mailed to the church at 5901 Granville Street, Vancouver, BC V6M 3C9 where there is a secure silver mailbox next to the side door. • Post-dated cheques can also be mailed to or dropped off at the church building (address above). Thank you to all who are already giving generously!
