DRIVER TRAINING SORTED, THANKS TO ANDOVER. Our driver training courses are available for all levels of experience and can be arranged to take place on your premises or at our training centre. We offer training for all types of materials handling equipment, including counterbalance, reach and pedestrian operated trucks. FULL TRAINING COURSES Our full training course typically consists of three days’ training, for a maximum of three of your staff. REFRESHER COURSES A refresher course typically consists of one day’s training, for a maximum of three people. The refresher course is typically aimed at experienced drivers with expired driver licences. YOUR OBLIGATIONS Regulation 9 of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER 98), requires you to ensure that all your staff have adequate training before using work equipment. Training should be delivered on each type of equipment that an operator may be expected to use. You should then issue written authority before an operator may legally operate a piece of equipment. The legislation states that it remains solely with the employer to determine how long this authority remains valid, but it is good practice to ensure that the performance of all operators is formally monitored.
