MAKINGONTARIOACCESSIBLE

Under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), we are committed to making our workplace and services accessible to everyone. Disabilities aren't always visible—they can be physical, mental, learningbased, or temporary (like a broken arm). Our golden rule: Treat everyone with dignity, independence, and equality.
1.
Never assume someone needs assistance just because they have a disability. If they look like they might need a hand, just ask: "How can I best assist you today?" If they say no, respect it.
Service animals (like guide dogs) and support workers are allowed anywhere the public is allowed.
Rule of thumb: Do not pet, feed, or distract a service animal. They are on the clock.

If someone is having trouble understanding you, or you them: Relax, be patient, and don't interrupt. Offer alternatives: write things down, use visual gestures, or move to a quieter space.
If an accessible feature (like an automatic door, or a ramp) breaks down, let Management know immediately so we can post a Notice of Temporary Disruption and fix it ASAP.
If a member or colleague has a suggestion or complaint about our accessibility, thank them and direct them to hr@granitegolfclub.ca
We take feedback seriously!
