Sixteen years ago, the notion that banking could be conducted entirely without branches was widely regarded as unrealistic. Few believed such a transformation could ever be achieved. We did.

In 2010, Gránit Bank became the rst nancial institution in Hungary to build a fully digital banking model from the ground up. What was once considered an ambitious vision has since been transformed into a proven reality.

Today, Gránit Bank stands among the leading nancial institutions in Hungary as the country’s eighth-largest bank. Pro tability was achieved as early as the fourth year of operation, demonstrating the strength and sustainability of our business model.

Over the years, a series of market-leading innovations has been introduced by Gránit Bank. Many of these developments have not only rede ned banking in Hungary but have also established the Bank as a pioneer across Europe and, in several areas, on a global scale.

The Bank’s performance has been exceptional. During the past sixteen years, the average annual growth of Gránit Bank’s balance sheet total has exceeded the Hungarian banking sector average by nearly eight times. Even in 2025, growth remained almost ve times higher than the industry benchmark.

This remarkable expansion has been achieved while maintaining a highly resilient and high-quality loan portfolio. Despite rapid growth, the proportion of non-performing loans has been kept at a minimal level. At the same time, a signi cant cost-e ciency advantage has continued to be demonstrated compared to the sector average.

Leadership is not only being maintained in digital banking innovation. Gránit Bank is also positioned at the forefront of the application of generative and agentic arti cial intelligence. These technologies are being leveraged to unlock new digital synergies, enhance operational excellence, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

A Word from the President & CEO

A new chapter in the Bank’s history was opened at the end of 2024, when Gránit Bank’s shares were listed on the Budapest Stock Exchange. At the same time, the Bank’s international expansion was initiated through the launch of cross-border services in Romania.

LISTED ON THE BUDAPEST STOCK EXCHANGE

As part of last year’s IPO, Gránit Bank made history by completing the largest capital increase combined with a public share o ering in the past 25 years.

The o ering, with a minimum issuance value of HUF 7 billion, was oversubscribed by more than three times.

Uniquely in Hungary, shares could also be subscribed through mobile application.

The shares were listed on the Budapest Stock Exchange in the Standard category on December 23, 2024.

As of April 1, 2025, the shares were included in both the BUX and BUMIX indices.

6. ESG VALUES As part of its sustainability report, the Gránit Bank Group identi es actual and potential sources of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and assesses opportunities for their mitigation.

SCOPE 1 EMISSIONS: These arise from fuel consumption by vehicles used in operations and from natural gas consumption for building energy purposes, amounting to approximately 303.16 tCO e in 2025.

SCOPE 2 EMISSIONS: Generated by electricity consumption and the energy demand associated with district heating and cooling, amounting to approximately 285.12 tCO e in 2025 on a location-based basis.

SCOPE 3 EMISSIONS: Indirect emissions arising across the full value chain, with nanced emissions representing the most signi cant category for the Bank.

Our branchless banking model enables us to maintain a signi cantly smaller ecological footprint than a traditional bank. Since 2020, we have been carbonneutral in our own operations, covering Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions. Each year, we o set the CO emissions generated by our operations through support for reforestation and other Gold Standard-certi ed environmental projects.

DONATION Gránit Bank is committed to supporting the social advancement of disadvantaged children and their parents. Building on its cooperation with Hungarian Interchurch Aid, in place since 2019, the Bank has deepened this partnership through a new three-year programme. Launched in 2024 and implemented from 2025, the project is a key element of the “Ott vagyunk Neked” umbrella programme. Its main component, the Digital Tallér Programme, supports several hundred children and their parents in the Aid Organisation’s social inclusion institutions by strengthening their digital and nancial skills. With the Bank’s nancial support, the Aid Organisation has digitalised its ‘Tallér’ Programme, which promotes learning and community building. The successful pilot provides a strong basis for nationwide expansion.

SUPPORTING SPORT Under a multi-year framework agreement, Gránit Bank sponsors athletes and mass sporting events organized by the Hungarian Canoe Federation, renewing this agreement once again in 2024. The Bank is also a key supporter of the Hungarian Water Polo Federation, with the Bank’s Chairperson and CEO serving as the Federation’s Honorary President. Furthermore, Gránit Bank supported the inaugural Gránit Bank University Regatta.

PATRONAGE OF ART Support for culture has remained a central pillar of Gránit Bank’s social responsibility programme. For over a decade, the Bank has supported exhibitions at the Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest. In 2025, it supported the major exhibition “The Marriage of Heaven and Hell – William Blake and His Contemporaries”, featuring works from the collection of Tate, London. The exhibition presented paintings and illustrations by the master of British Romanticism, alongside works by his contemporaries, including Turner and Fuseli.

FINANCIAL EDUCATION In collaboration with educational institutions, the Bank supports the dissemination of nancial literacy from primary schools to universities. It has established strategic partnerships with seven Hungarian universities, contributing signi cantly to enhancing nancial knowledge among university students.
