Graduating Employees Elise Rapeyko Elise Rapeyko started on the Public Relations team at the Grand Valley Lanthorn in the Fall of 2022.

Since that time, she has risen through the ranks to be a talented PR & Promotions Manager! This year she's done a great job in event management and PR content creation. Her efforts made sure the Lanthorn swag was distributed in fun ways (like Pong and Spin to Win Prize Wheel promotions) at GV football games, Campus Life Night, GV Volleyball games, and at GVSU Commencements.

She even helped develop a new GVL mascot, Lanthorn Larry the Owl. Her commitment to building meaningful relationships with GV students at key moments and expanding the presence of the Lanthorn brand is truly her legacy.

Elise has been an outstanding member on the GVL staff, and we congratulate her on her academic success as a GVSU graduate!

Lea Gaetto

Lea Gaetto began her journey at the Grand Valley Lanthorn in the fall of 2022 as a writer in the Laker Life section and the following fall was promoted to Associate Editor.

She not only is an incredible writer and committed to her work at the Lanthorn but is also a helpful teammate, kind co-worker, and even better friend. Her presence at the Lanthorn, at Grand Valley State University, and my everyday campus life will be greatly missed. I appreciate everything you have done as my Associate editor and my righthand man. I am so proud of you for everything you have overcome and accomplished and can’t wait to see wherever you go next.
