Dear Grand Pacific Resorts Owners and Families,

As I reflect on the many stories and traditions that fill the pages of this magazine, I’m reminded of what makes vacation ownership so special. It’s more than just time away—it’s the comfort of knowing that year after year, you have a place waiting for you. A place where memories are built, where milestones are celebrated, and where the everyday stress of life gives way to laughter, rest, and connection.
Within these pages of Time Together, you’ll discover which type of traveler you are, explore our California drive-to destinations, and see how GPX can stretch your ownership further. You’ll meet the Associates who bring your vacations to life, and find inspiration for family-style meals that make gathering around the table both affordable and meaningful.
Your vacation ownership is a promise that time with loved ones, meaningful traditions, and the comfort of knowing your next getaway is always waiting will continue year after year. We are honored to be your vacation partner and remain dedicated to helping you make the most of every stay.
On behalf of all of us at Grand Pacific Resorts, thank you for being part of our family. May the year ahead bring you joy, connection, and countless memories in the places you love most.
Warmest regards,
Nigel Lobo, RRP Chief Operating Officer Grand Pacific Resorts
Vacations aren’t just about the destination, they’re about the memories that stay with you long after the suitcase is unpacked. The laughter echoing during a family game night in your condo’s living room. The joy of seeing your kids cannonball into the pool (for the fifth time in a row). The peace of sipping your morning coffee from a balcony overlooking the ocean, desert sunrise, or mountain vistas. These moments are priceless, and best of all, they’re always within reach.
Your vacation ownership makes travel simple, comfortable, and familiar. It’s not just a trip—it’s the traditions you’ve built, the quality time you protect, and the vacations you look forward to year after year.
Across the Grand Pacific Resorts family of resorts, your vacation is more than a getaway, it’s a feeling of home, wherever you choose to go. And with California’s driveto destinations, you’re never far from your next unforgettable memory.

One of the biggest perks of vacation ownership is that you don’t usually need to hop on a plane to feel worlds away. With resorts spanning California’s beaches, deserts, mountains, and wine country, unforgettable getaways are just a drive away.
Beach lovers can soak up sun-kissed days at Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort, steps from the sand in the heart of Carlsbad. Or enjoy the island charm of Coronado Beach Resort, right across from the historic Hotel Del Coronado, where the rooftop sun deck offers stunning views.
Desert seekers will find their oasis at Vista Mirage Resort in Palm Springs, where bright skies, sparkling pools, and endless sunshine make relaxation effortless. For a different kind of desert experience, Indian Palms Vacation Club in the heart of Coachella Valley puts you near golf, festivals, and iconic desert sunsets.
Mountain explorers can retreat to Red Wolf Lakeside Lodge in North Lake Tahoe, where a private beach, pine-lined shores, and endless lake adventures await. Or head slope-side to Red Wolf Lodge at Olympic Valley, a ski-in/ski-out property perfect for mountain trails in summer and skiing in winter.
Wine Country wanderers will love RiverPointe Napa Valley, a charming retreat set among vineyards and rolling hills. From world-class tasting rooms to local markets and scenic drives, it’s the perfect place to sip, savor, and slow down.
With so many choices nearby, the road to vacation is smoother than ever—especially for families who want to keep vacations simple, stress-free, and full of fun. Just pack the car, queue up your favorite playlist, and before you know it, you’re arriving at a resort where everything is waiting.

When you settle in, it’s the thoughtful amenities that make your stay both comfortable and affordable—like kitchens for easy meals, roomy living spaces, and complimentary perks that keep expenses in check while memories stack up instead.

Full kitchens or kitchenettes mean you can prepare meals together (and skip the constant hefty restaurant tabs).

Living and dining rooms offer space to spread out— no cramming into a single hotel room.

Complimentary resort perks like bike rentals, beach chairs, fitness facilities, pools, hot tubs, barbecue areas, and on-site activities for all ages.
It’s these built-in benefits that make vacation ownership such a lasting value for your family. And throughout this issue, you’ll discover even more money-saving tips from the resorts themselves—simple perks and ideas you can use the moment you arrive.
When it comes to mealtime, don’t miss this issue’s
Table Talk with Patty Mastracco, where she shares how to create delicious, family-style dinners for four—each for under $100. Because saving on vacation doesn’t mean cutting back on the memories made around the table.

So many families return year after year because it feels like coming home! It's the familiar smiles, the pool that feels like it was made for you, the activities team that remembers your name, and the little touches that make it yours. Even the small details—like a carefully folded towel origami, or the sand underfoot as your grandchild builds a sandcastle on Coronado’s beach— become the traditions you carry forward.
These are the moments children grow up remembering, and the ones parents and grandparents hold dear. Vacation becomes less about “where” and more about “with whom.” And that’s the true value of vacation ownership: protecting time together.

THEN & NOW

PICTURED ABOVE: Carlsbad Inn Owners Jim & Shelly's eldest grandchild has taken an annual photo with them on the balcony every year at Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort, the first photo is when she is 3 ½ months old, the second at 16 years old.

“All four of our grandchildren – now ages 8, 10, 13 and 16 – have grown up enjoying annual family timeshare vacations. Some of the best memories are the “firsts of their lives” – first beachwalk where they found a piece of seaglass, first s’mores, first ride on the Coaster, first cartwheels in the courtyard, first game of Marco Polo in the pool, and first family photo under the pier. It now hangs in each of our homes as a testimony to our time together at the coast.“

While California’s drive-to gems are front and center, we know some of you are dreaming of exploring farther.
In Redmond, Oregon, Canyon Rim at Eagle Crest offers a high-desert playground where mountain biking, golf, and crisp alpine air make for a rejuvenating getaway.
Your ownership goes further with GPX
In addition to your home resort, you can use GPX to exchange into other destinations within the Grand Pacific Resorts family of resorts and beyond. More places to discover, more traditions to start, and more memories to make.
Learn more in our GPX spotlight later in this issue.
And for those longing for island paradise, nothing compares to the Garden Isle of Kauai. Whether you’re watching the sunset by the firepit of Hanalei Bay Resort or enjoying the peaceful beauty of Makai Club Resort, Hawaii offers a slower pace and scenery that feels like stepping into another world and letting your troubles go.
With vacation ownership, the choice is yours—stay close to home or travel farther away, knowing you’ll always find the same comfort, traditions, and time together that make each trip unforgettable.

Think back on your favorite vacation memory—picture the faces, the laughter, the sunshine (or snowfall), the stillness. Then imagine the next one, already waiting.
At Grand Pacific Resorts, we’re here to help you keep those moments alive year after year. Vacations are about making the most of today—and carrying those traditions forward into tomorrow.
Because no matter your vacation style—beach, desert, mountain, wine country, or beyond—you’ll always find a place to belong, and time together to treasure.

Where to next? Start with what feels right. Whether you're drawn to beach breezes, desert sunshine, mountain air, or wine country charm, this quiz will guide you toward your ideal vacation vibe—paired with destinations from our Grand Pacific Resorts portfolio. While most are drive-to favorites in California, don’t be surprised if your results lead to something a little further...

For over 25 years, Grand Pacific Resorts has supported causes that bring hope, education, and sustainability to the communities they operate in. Through GPRcares, associates, Owners, and resort teams come together to make a positive impact – whether through company-wide partnerships or heartfelt local efforts that uplift the places our Owners and Guests love to visit. From raising funds for education to supporting neighbors in times of need, every act of kindness builds stronger communities, and a brighter, kinder world.

At the heart of Grand Pacific Resorts’ giving is Christel House, our charity of choice for corporate social responsibility. This year, our long-standing commitment joined the stage of our annual Housekeeping Olympics – a lively event that celebrates the incredible talent and dedication of our housekeeping associates through friendly competitions like towel-folding, bed-making challenges, and team relays.
For the first time, the event included a special sponsor area dedicated to raising funds for Christel House, inviting associates, owners, and guests to join in the fun and give back. Together, we raised over $55,000 – enough to fund a full year of education, healthcare, transportation, meals, and uniforms for 22 Christel House students – empowering young people to break the cycle of poverty and build brighter futures.

Grand Pacific Resorts continues it’s partnership with Send Me On Vacation to host a group trip for breast cancer survivors at Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort. The healing retreat offers survivors the chance to connect with other breast cancer survivors, recharge, and rediscover joy through shared experiences, engaging activities, and build a supportive community.
The trip culminates in a “Turn the Resort Pink” night – a fun night that raises funds for future survivor getaways and spreads awareness about the power of rest and renewal after breast cancer.
If you’d like to support this incredible cause, you can donate your week through GPX Revive & Thrive (https://www.gpxvacations.com/donate), or by making a direct contribution to Send Me On Vacation (https://sendmeonvacation.org)
Across Grand Pacific Resorts, giving back isn’t just something we do – it’s part of who we are. Each of our resort teams find meaningful ways to support their local communities through acts of compassion, generosity, and care. Here is what some of our resorts were up to this past year.
Capistrano SurfSide Inn – When wildfires displaced residents across Los Angeles in January 2025, the resort team stepped up, offering reduced rates to those in need.
Canyon Rim at Eagle Crest – Each winter, associates organize a Sock Drive to keep children warm, donating to the Family Access Network.
Channel Island Shores – Partnering with the Ventura County Fire Department for the Spark of Love Toy Drive, the team helps bring holiday cheer to families who lost everything in the Mountain Fire earlier this year.
Coronado Beach Resort – Each holiday season, the resort collects toys for the Ronald McDonald House, supporting families with hospitalized children.
Hanalei Bay Resort – Guests can donate unopened, non-perishable leftover groceries with the Front Desk, which are then given to the Kaua'i Food Bank to benefit local residents in need. Proceeds from the resort’s weekly barbecue—hosted by Lillian Watari, the Ohana ‘Elele (Family Ambassador)—support the island’s annual Charity Walk.
Makai Club Resort – The resort team volunteers with the Hanalei Canoe Club, Kaua'i Charity Walk, and Kīlauea Christmas in the Park, donating time and resources to local nonprofits.
Olympic Village Inn – The resort teams up with Keep Tahoe Blue, one of Lake Tahoe’s largest environmental conservation non-profits for monthly local trash clean ups around the property, and community.
Red Wolf Lakeside Lodge – Supporting the North Tahoe Community Alliance, the team volunteers at events like Music on the Beach, Lights in the Sky, and community cleanups.
Red Wolf Lodge at Olympic Valley –Partnering with the Humane Society of TruckeeTahoe, associates support programs that help homeless pets and foster compassion.
San Clemente Cove – The resort team participates in local beach cleanups, helping preserve San Clemente’s shoreline and inspiring guests to do the same.
Southern California Beach Club – Each year, the team raises funds for Christel House and is launching quarterly Beach Clean-Ups to keep local beaches beautiful.
San Clemente Inn – Partnering with Raya’s Memory Care Facility, the team offers support services and will host a Toys for Tots drive with the U.S. Marine Corps this December.
Wave Crest Resort – By highlighting Del Mar’s small businesses—from coffee shops to farmers markets—the resort helps owners and guests discover and support the local community.
We hosted our Annual Best of the Best Gala this February, an evening dedicated to celebrating the heart of Grand Pacific Resorts—our Associates. Each year, this special event recognizes those who go above and beyond, embodying our BE EPIC values: Balance, Empowerment, Enthusiasm, Passion, Integrity, and Consistency.
Honoring our 2024 Associates of the Year, the Gala shined a spotlight on the dedication and heart our Associates bring to creating unforgettable vacation memories for Owners and Guests. For the second year in a row, the celebration was livestreamed, with resorts hosting festive watch parties, ensuring Associates across all destinations could join in the pride and joy of the moment.
As Co-President David Brown shared, “Thank you for living our BE EPIC Values and being an essential part of our success. We couldn’t do it without you.” Chief Operating Officer Nigel Lobo added, “It is people like you who make Grand Pacific Resorts a place where memories are created every day.”

We were beaming with pride as five of our incredible Associates were honored with top accolades at the prestigious ARDA Conference in Orlando, Florida earlier this year! With 17 finalists across multiple categories, it was already a moment to celebrate, but bringing home five awards made it even more special, especially for our winning Associates. Their achievements are a reflection of the heart, care, and passion they bring to every guest experience, and the dedication they show to their teams and Owners alike. We couldn’t be prouder of them and all they’ve accomplished—huge congratulations to our winners and finalists!

Our BE EPIC Moments program recognizes Associates who go above and beyond, embodying our BE EPIC Values every day. What makes this program especially meaningful is that recognition can come directly from Owners like you! From creating memorable vacation experiences through activities, to front desk Associates lending a helping hand when it matters most, these moments in action highlight the heart and dedication behind every stay at our resorts.
Here are some feature moments from our resorts!
VALUES DISPLAYED: INTEGRITY, EMPOWERMENT
Lucy Ruiz created a true BE EPIC Moment at Channel Island Shores when a solo traveler from France, Mrs. Aubry, had her cell phone break shortly after arrival. Knowing how important her phone was for communication and navigation, Lucy immediately stepped in to help. She researched options, found that a local vendor could assist, and confirmed a third-party repair shop could fix it. To ease the guest's worries about getting around without a phone, Lucy even lent her own so Mrs. Aubry could safely reach the shop and stay connected. Mrs. Aubry returned later, so grateful for Lucy's kindness and care. This is a perfect example of putting people first and delivering exceptional service, no matter what!
VALUES DISPLAYED: INTEGRITY, EMPOWERMENT
When guests finished an overnight hike on the Kalalau Trail, they found themselves stranded with no transportation back to the resort. Despite trying rideshare apps and other options, nothing was available – and it was nearing 11:00 p.m. Guest Services Agent Alfred Nebre grew concerned for their safety, and with genuine care, called his manager to request closing the front desk temporarily so he could personally drive 35 minutes to pick them up. Al returned with the guests, reopening the desk, and finished his shift without missing a beat. His selfless act and commitment to guest care turned a stressful situation into a true WOW moment. We thank Al for going above and beyond and living our values.
VALUES DISPLAYED: ENTHUSIASM, PASSION, INTEGRITY
"I just wanted to convey my deep appreciation for one of your call center associates. Brock provided me with more help and patience than I’ve received in a customer service capacity in years! He listened and cared about my story, and treated me like he knew me and my family. I understand the timeshare rules now - better than I ever have! We need more people in this world with his empathy and he’s an asset to Grand Pacific Resorts". – Owner testimonial

At the heart of every great vacation experience are our housekeeping associates. They are the ones who make sure rooms are prepared, resorts are kept clean and comfortable, and every detail is taken care of so families can relax and enjoy their time together. We simply could not operate without their dedication and hard work.
That’s why Housekeeping Appreciation Week is so special to us. Across our resorts, we celebrated by showering our housekeeping associates with gratitude—treating them to delicious lunches, sweet treats, and thoughtful gifts all week long. It’s our way of saying “thank you” for everything they do behind the scenes to make vacations memorable.
Looking ahead, we’re excited for December when several of our Southern California housekeeping teams will gather for the annual Housekeeping Olympics. Friendly competitions like the Fastest Towel Folder, Bed Making Team Challenge, and Towel Origami Team Display will showcase their skills and crown winners in each event. These celebrations are a heartfelt reminder of how much we value our housekeeping associates—the true “heart of the house.”
The next time a housekeeper enhances your stay, don’t forget to pass along a nice smile or even a small tip! It goes a long way in showing your appreciation for making your vacations epic.
This summer, we proudly celebrated our housekeeping, maintenance, and front desk associates with the “Your Summer, Your Style” shopping experience. As a thank you for their dedication during the busy summer season, more than 300 associates selected a personalized gift, ensuring everyone received something they truly wanted. Resorts hosted lively Summer Gift Parties where associates unwrapped their gifts together—like a summer Christmas! At Grand Pacific Palisades, the celebration even included a Christmas tree, tropical décor, and Hawaiian barbecue.

This summer, each of our resort teams came together with laughter and connection as Associates and their families enjoyed special gatherings by the beach or at local parks. The celebrations featured raffles, games, and plenty of good food—from sizzling barbecues to fun food trucks. With spouses, kids, grandkids, aunts, uncles, and siblings joining in, these meaningful moments—whether kicking off or closing out the summer season—were a heartfelt way to celebrate summer and the people who make our resorts shine alongside their families.

Because being together is always something worth celebrating.
Some of the best memories don’t come from big events or elaborate plans – they come from the simple act of gathering around a table. Sharing a meal with the people you love, swapping stories, passing dishes, laughing a little longer than you would at home.
Because why wait for a birthday or anniversary to celebrate? Being on vacation is something worth celebrating! You’re here, together, in a place that feels both comforting and special. And at our resorts, the spaces around you make it easy to turn an ordinary dinner into a tradition – rooftop barbecues, sunny patios, or a courtyard where new friends bring a dish to share. These meals don’t need to be expensive or complicated. They just need to bring people together, reminding us that connection is the heart of every vacation.
And the best part? Creating something memorable doesn’t have to mean dropping $300 at a restaurant. With thoughtful touches, a few fresh ingredients, and recipes designed to be approachable and resortfriendly, you can enjoy flavorful, vacation-worthy meals that feel every bit as special as dining out.
For years, Table Talk has been about more than just recipes – it’s about the simple joy of gathering in your home-away-from-home with great food. This issue, we’re taking that spirit one step further with Gratitude Dinners, celebrating how a shared meal can turn any evening on vacation into something special.
To bring that idea to life, Patty showcases the spirit of Gratitude Dinners with a fresh, coastal-inspired meal – Grilled Salmon with Blueberry Balsamic Glaze, Lemony Fingerling Potatoes, and a Small Charcuterie Board perfect for sharing on the patio. And just like our “What Type of Traveler Are You” feature, you’ll also find dishes inspired by every kind of vacationer – from cozy mountain comfort, to bright desert sunshine – each one designed to make dining in feel just as special as dining out. Now let’s dive into the flavors that inspired this year’s featured Gratitude Dinner.

Vacations should feel effortless, but planning them can take a lot of time and energy. Alongside our dedicated Grand Pacific Vacation Services (GPVS) team just one call away, you now have another tool at your fingertips: artificial intelligence (AI). Think of it as your personal travel assistant, available anytime, anywhere.
AI can act as your “second brain,” simplifying nearly every stage of your vacation planning. From researching destinations and comparing travel routes to building itineraries around your family’s interests, AI tools provide quick answers and creative inspiration. You can ask questions as broad as “What’s the best time of year to visit Southern California?” or as specific as “Plan a three-day kid-friendly itinerary near Carlsbad, California with a mix of beach time and budget-friendly dining.” Within seconds, AI can generate suggestions tailored to your needs, moving up your starting point of planning.
Here are just a few ways you can use AI to make the most of your ownership and upcoming travels:
Skip the endless searches. Ask AI to map out a day that includes breakfast spots, nearby hikes, afternoon activities, and casual dining all within your budget. You can even use it as a second pair of “eyes”: draft your itinerary yourself, then ask AI to review it for details you may have missed or suggestions to make it even smoother.
Need to find the quickest drive route, locate EV charging networks, compare flight times, or check what to pack for seasonal weather? AI can quickly compile the details so you can focus on the fun.
Wondering where locals go for the best tacos in San Diego or the coziest coffee shop near Tahoe? AI can pull recommendations instantly.
The best part? You don’t have to choose between relying only on AI or only on people—using both together gives you the best of both worlds. AI can help you brainstorm ideas, compare options, and narrow your choices. Then with your plans in mind, the GPVS team can help you secure reservations, answer ownership-specific questions, and provide the support you need to make your getaway memorable.
Vacations are about creating memories with the people who matter most. With AI as your personal assistant and GPVS just one call away, you have the perfect combination of technology and personal touch to help plan your next unforgettable getaway. Treat AI like a helpful assistant, not a private notebook—and enjoy how much simpler, smoother, and more stress-free your planning can feel. With a second brain to help catch the little details, you can shed the worry of forgotten logistics and slip straight into vacation dream mode.

A few tips to keep in mind when using AI tools:
• Avoid entering personal details like your full name, address, or account numbers.
• AI can make mistakes, so be sure to double-check important travel information (hours, prices, or availability) on company websites.
• Use AI for ideas, inspiration, and logistics— but rely on trusted sources like GPVS when it comes to final bookings and ownershipspecific questions.
• Start small. Begin with simple questions like asking AI to create a packing list for a 7 night stay. Over time, you’ll discover just how helpful it can be.
