5, Lw'ayette-Dupont Lodge No. 19,4% and AlianzaFraternal Lodge No. 92 were especiallywellrepresented; and by a float, in the form of a fems wheel, provided by the Directors Staff of A h a s Temple. Following the parade members of the Craft labored ' mg and hard at Palisades Park to cook and serve some ,,000 hot dogs; to man the Child Identification Booth and prepare more than 100 identification booklets for local children; and to display, courtesy of Potomac Lodge No. 5, the priceless gavel used by Brother George Washington to lay the cornerstone at the U. S. Capitol in 1793. These efforts, along with those of Masons who trod the parade route, distributingAmerican flags along the way, were well appreciated by all who lined the route of march. Grand Master J. Philip Smith, following receipt of a number of unsolicited glowing reports concerning the Masonic input into t h s neighborhood celebration, extended written congratulations to all participants. In doing so he singled out for special recognition Dan L Frederick, Senior Grand Deacon, for his sterling performance as the planner, organizer, and chief implementer of our Masonic endeavors on this important project.
