THE PARKS, ARTS, RECREATION, & OPEN SPACE MASTER PLAN IS IN DEVELOPMENT!
The Parks, Arts, Recreation, and Open Space Master Plan is being updated to serve as the roadmap to guide short- and long-term priorities for the parks and recreation system in Grand Prairie over the next ten years.
The importance of the master planning process cannot be over-emphasized. The last master plan was adopted in 2017 which led the way to several accomplishments, including the following.
• Completed portion of Lone Star Trail from Beltline to Wildlife Parkway & soon to be completed extension of the Lone Star Trail along Wildlife Parkway connecting to the Good Link Trail. These trail segments are part of the DFW Discovery Trail with more than 66 miles connecting five cities.
• Lake Park improvements that include multiple canopies and restrooms at Lynn Creek Park. Loyd Park also received multiple restrooms, two yurts, many lodging improvements and master planning for electric and wastewater improvements.
• Recreation Center improvements include the Charley Taylor and Dalworth renovations. Ruthe Jackson Center and Splash Factory have been renovated. A Star Roof Canopy has been added to the Veterans Memorial. EpicCentral additions include Epic Waters, PlayGrand Adventures and The Epic.
• Substantial improvements have taken place at Tyre, Mi Familia, and Turner Parks. Friendship Park Pickleball/Tennis Courts are in the process of being replaced. Additionally, Tyre Park and McFalls Park pools have been improved.
These are only a few highlights from a very long list of accomplishments. This important master planning exercise guides the future of parks, arts & recreation in the City of Grand Prairie.
• Account for progress made since the 2017 master plan was adopted.
• Assess current and future system needs.
• Gain broad community feedback through a variety of public engagement strategies.
• Determine a community vision for parks, arts, recreation, and open space.
• Develop a prioritized implementation plan to guide future investments.

What is a Fitness Assessment?
A fitness assessment is a test or measurement completed by a professional to get health information about a client to determine their current level of fitness.
Why do a Fitness Assessment?
There are many reasons why fitness assessments are important. They do not take a lot of time to complete but can provide a wealth of information. Assessments serve as a baseline measurement that trainers and clients can use to build an effective program and to compare results over a period of time.
The InBody 570
An Epic Fitness Assessment includes the use of the InBody 570 Composition Analyzer.
45-Second Tests
Quickly measure fat mass, muscle mass, and body water. Auto-calibrated, userfriendly, and non-invasive, testing is fast and easy—just stand on the device and hold the hand electrodes.
No Empirical Estimations
No empirical estimations based on age, sex, ethnicity, or body type. Instead, Direct Segmental Multi-Frequency BIA technology measures body segments separately for an accurate analysis based on your unique body.
Advanced Outputs
Get essential outputs for evaluating overall health and wellness. Draw more insights from additional metrics like Visceral Fat Level and Segmental Fat Analysis, track progress, validate programs, and deliver actionable advice backed by trustworthy data.
Result Sheet
Every InBody Test includes a full-page Result Sheet printout that details muscle, fat, and water measurements and highlights specific areas to focus on. VISIT JOINTHEEPIC.COM/ FITNESS-ASSESSMENT TO SCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT
