WORK NW Alberta—a partnership between the Grande Prairie & District Chamber of Commerce, City of Grande Prairie, County of Grande Prairie, MD of Greenview, and Northwestern Polytechnic—has launched a boldnewregionaltalentattractioncampaign:ALBERTACALLED.
Building on the momentum of the Government of Alberta’s award-winning Alberta is Calling initiative, this campaign speaks directly to job seekers in Alberta, BC, and Ontario, encouraging them to consider a move whereopportunitymeetsqualityoflifeinnorthwesternAlberta.

Alberta’s government has also proactively reached out toIndigenouscommunitiesacrosstheprovincetohelpdetermine thebestapproachformeaningfulengagementandtofosterearly relationship building. Industry, municipalities, Indigenous communities and others are also invited to share their input through an online request for information which will be open until Oct.25.
The next phase of engagement will feature in-person meetings and engagement sessions with Indigenous communities, municipalitiesandindustryandbeginlaterthisyear.Engagement activitieswillcontinueinto2026.
