Nestled on the first floor of Hotel Grande Bretagne, the Atrium of Alexander’s Lounge introduces the “Il Giardino Segreto“ menu, a tribute to authentic Italian flavors and seasonal ingredients. The tomato is this year’s true protagonist. Guided by his culinary intuition, the Executive Chef Asterios Koustoudis embarked on a journey to cultivate his own tomatoes, selecting rare varieties such as Datterini, Nelly’s Grape, Marmande and Fiorentino Costoluto, all grown naturally by a small-scale farmer on the slopes of Mount Pateras. From these exceptional tomatoes, he created a vibrant sauce, cooked with fleur de sel and extra virgin olive oil preserved in glass jars and opened fresh in front of guests. Fresh pasta is then prepared and finished tableside in this signature sauce with a touch of San Michali cheese.
