Welcome to Plumpton Racecourse Plumpton is a hidden gem in the world of horseracing. The thrill of jump racing, the joy of a win, delicious food and drink, and stunning rural backdrop provide a memorable sporting experience for everyone from novice to racing expert. We race 16 times a year between September and May, and with a track just over a mile round (one of the smallest in the country) we offer great viewing of the whole course. You feel as though you can almost touch the horses as they thunder past the winning post on each circuit. You are also likely to be rubbing shoulders with the UK’s top trainers and jockeys who regularly come to Plumpton, and we are renowned as a nursery ground for the equine stars of the future.

Customer Information Free Race Programme & Guides All racegoers receive a free Race Programme including runners and riders, tips and everything you need to know about your day at Plumpton Racecourse. Look out for the ‘All About the Horse’ and ‘How to Bet’ free guides available around the racecourse, or on request in advance from the Racecourse office.
Enclosures At most of our 2016 race meetings, Plumpton Racecourse will operate One Enclosure. On these days, your admission ticket gives you access to all public areas including all three bars, numerous food outlets, viewing areas, parade ring and the winners enclosure. Racegoers can also access the centre course area to enjoy all the action close up; walk to the start or stand next to one of the imposing chase fences.
Easter Festival, Ladies Day & Family Day (27th March, 28th March, 8th May and 18th September) At these 4 racedays, the racecourse is divided into two enclosures:
Grandstand and Paddock Enclosure The premium ticket with the best views, and access to all the racecourse’s public facilities including numerous bars and a wide range of food outlets, and viewing of the final furlong, parade ring and winners enclosure.
Picnic Enclosure A relaxed way of coming racing with access to the centre of the course where you can enjoy a picnic, have a flutter with the tote or on-course bookmakers, visit the Centre Course Bar, and watch the action close up to a fence.
Dress Code There is no formal dress code at Plumpton – we recommend you dress for the weather.
