Who We Are MRBES
Since 2005, the Mountain Region Black Economic Summit (MRBES), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, has produced an annual economic empowerment conference bringing together the various business, financial, and technology platforms to stimulate learning and growth in Colorado’s minority communities. MRBES’ mission is to provide a platform for minority families, entrepreneurs, and community leaders in the Mountain Region to share information for improving the economic vitality of our families, businesses, and civic organizations by: •Increasing business ownership •Increasing professional development •Increasing personal wealth

MRBES’ Success Summit is the annual economic empowerment conference containing critical resources for business, career and personal success, including: workshops, resource expo, career fair and networking opportunities with key community and business leadership. In addition to the traditional tradeshow-expo model, the Success Pavilion offers one-on-one interaction with resource providers and procurement specialists as well as business and career coaching sessions. Success Summit participants leave the conference energized and armed with knowledge and networking skill sets that will springboard their business acumen, career, and financial growth potential to the next level. The Success Summit kicks off with an invitation-only networking coffee hour for the region’s top business professionals to network during a private meet and greet with a light breakfast . Our morning “POWER HOUR” will continue on a quarterly basis with seasoned executives sharing their best practices for career success with potential business leaders on the fast-track. The Morning Plenary Session is designed to jumpstart the Success Summit with an inspiring and informative presenter or panel. Averaging over 500 attendees per year, the Legacy Awards Luncheon features a renown keynote speaker and the best and brightest corporate, government, and community leaders. We also award several local individuals and organizations for their contributions to the economic development of the community. Previous luncheon keynote speakers include

Vendors At the Success Pavilion, participants sample a variety of B2B vendors and acquire tools for success, including complimentary professional head shots, image consulting, business coaching, executive coaching, and more.
Mini-Career Fair From entry-level to executive level positions, the Metro area’s largest employers are ready to hire Success Summit attendees. Resume critique and career coaching also available.
Success Workshops Workshop topic areas include Entrepreneurship/Business, Leadership, Organization Development and Career Development. Authorities in these focus areas share their expertise and best practices for success. Workshops have included topics on Branding, Wealth-building, Financial Fortitude, Career Changers, Funding, and Youth financial literacy.
Ultimate Marketing Plan Our “ULTIMATE MARKETING PLAN� is designed to provide maximum exposure to minority and women entrepreneurs in the region. Developing strategic alliances with regional Chambers of Commerce and other minority/ women business organizations, will allow direct promotion to membership databases via social media, email, and electronic newsletter marketing. Media partnerships will garner both print and online promotional opportunities with a total reach of about 600,000. The MRBES receives coverage form the Denver Post, Denver Business Journal, 9News (NBC Affiliate) , AM760 Radio, KLDC 1220AM, CBS4 News, and Comcast Newsmakers.
