Jesus’ Last Words 2 – What Are You Discussing? Grace Lutheran Bible Study 1. Jesus, as God, is able to overhear your conversations. How does that make you feel? What percentage of your spoken words would you prefer God ignore?

2. Jesus overheard and entered into an Easter day conversation with 2 followers. We’ll see how their discussion changed, and how ours can too.

Luke 24:13-17 Now, on that same day, two of them were going to a village named Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem. 14 They were talking with each other about all of these things that had happened. 15 While they were talking and discussing this, Jesus himself approached and began to walk along with them. 16 But their eyes were kept from recognizing him. 17 He said to them, “What are you talking about as you walk along?” Saddened, they stopped. 3. Sometimes sad news needs to be talked about. What’s the usefulness of discussing tragic and sad things? When do we need to be interrupted in those kinds of discussions?

Luke 24:18-24 18 One of them, named Cleopas, answered him, “Are you the only visitor in Jerusalem who does not know the things that have happened there in these days?” 19 “What things?” he asked them.
