JESUS CHRIST—TRUE GOD AND TRUE MAN Jesus Christ, the Savior, has come.
Luke 2:11 “Today in the town of David, a Savior was born for you. He is Christ the Lord.” John 4:25-26 “The woman said to him, ‘I know that Messiah is coming’ (the one called Christ). When He comes, he will explain everything to us.’ Jesus said to her, ‘I, the one speaking to you, am he.’”
For Additional Study The name Jesus means Savior. Messiah is the Hebrew word for “Anointed One.”
Mark 14:61-62 “Again the high priest asked him, ‘Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?’ ‘I am,’ Jesus said.”
Christ is the Greek word for “Anointed One.”
Luke 22:70-71 “They all (the Sanhedrin, the Jewish ruling council) said, “Are you then the Son of God?” He (Jesus) said to them, “I am what you are saying.” Then they said, “Why do we need any more testimony? For we ourselves have heard it from his own mouth!”
Christ’s humiliation includes his conception, birth, life, and death.
