Quarter 3 Efforts
The Outreach team connected with 14,732 people in July and August across 30 events. In July, Outreach team members could be found at the Whitley County Ready Fest, White Flag Ministry Outreach, as well as back-to-school events in Manchester and Lynn Camp. In August, they helped flood victims apply for FEMA disaster relief, attended additional back-to-school events in Corbin, London, and Barbourville, and assisted at White Flag Health and Wellness events. In September, Grace Health participated in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s (right) and the Wal-Mart distribution center health fair, both in London, KY.
By attending events where community members live, the Grace Health outreach team is able to increase its impact across the service area counties, which leads to improved access to care and overall quality of health within each area.
Grace Health Bowl
Grace Health was honored to once again sponsor the Grace Health Bowl at Campbell Field/Denes Stadium on August 26. With the Corbin Redhounds football team taking on their cross-county rivals, the Whitley County Colonels, the event was buzzing with anticipation to see who would bring home the championship belt for 2022.
The event was attended by approximately 2700 fans, including many Grace Health employees. Bishop Street Clinic provider Dr. Kelvin Perry and Women's Health provider Rebecca Sears presented awards at the end of the game with Dental Director Dr. Kayla Fields presenting the game ball to kick off the evening (photos below).
Grace Health's outreach team used the game to connect with the public, hoping to make high-quality health care access available for everyone. As part of that effort, the team held drawings throughout the game for various prizes. Winners received a Nintendo Switch console, Apple AirPods. or a $100 Visa gift card. Grace Health is proud to serve the people of southeastern Kentucky and enjoy an evening of fun and football with area students and fans.
