Life a century ago looked very different from today’s world. Woodrow Wilson was president, the Eiffel Tower was the tallest structure in the world, The Great War had only just ended, and Charlie Chaplin was the world’s biggest star. 28 — Woodrow Wilson was the 28th President of the United States, serving in the office from 19131921. In October of 1919, he suffered a massive stroke that left him partially paralyzed.
68 — Charlie Chaplin filmed and directed “The Kid.” At 68 minutes, it was the first fulllength movie he directed. Upon the movie’s release two years later, it became an instant hit and one of Chaplin’s most well-known movies.
