“Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.” 1 Corinthians 12:12
When I was asked to direct the Fall Production, I wanted to find a story that could stand on its own two feet. One that might encourage our audience to rest, laugh, and dream. This production is unique in that the actors use unusual props and work together to help tell the story. From the beginning of our production process, they learned to work together to create the world of Peter. I ask you to allow your imagination to “take flight” throughout this story about a boy trying to find a place to belong. And I pray that, like Peter, you will discover that you don’t have to look very far to find it. In Christ, Home is much closer than we think.
Where there is unity, God commands a blessing. No single actor could stand alone without the help of his/her fellow cast members. In the same way, this production could not even be possible without every single person on the Production Team and the Parent Volunteers. Lynette Vogt-- A big thank you for making our set look so beautiful. Thank you for helping bring the vision for Peter to life. It’s truly breathtaking. Alethea Hutchison-- Thank you for coordinating logistics and details. Ashley Clarke-- You are a hero and a saving grace to me. Thank you for keeping us running so smoothly. Aubrey Halliburton-- Thank you for your time, efforts, and encouragement (and adding your musical talents to this production). Maggie Richardson-- Thank you for your attention to detail and eye for excellence in all things. You’re the real deal. Carrie Estes-- Thank you for your encouragement, time, and help in all ways. This opportunity has been so special and wouldn’t be possible without you.
Thank you to my students who have worked so hard and remind me daily why I love what I do. I’m so proud of you.
Last, but not least, thank you to my family who were the first to teach me that, “to have faith, is to have wings.” This one is for all of you.
“In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16
Blessings, Kelly Cline
