Grace Weekly My passion for design evolved from a childhood enjoyment of creating beautiful things into a deeper passion for crafting spaces that personally resonate with it’s users.

EDUCATION

Learning the true process of design has expanded my interests to include design research, space planning, and digital rendering, allowing me to focus on how atmosphere, flow, and detail, shape experience.

The Fellows Hotel

An adaptive reuse boutique hotel that pays homage to the building’s rich history, creating an enriching environment for travelers and locals alike.

The design draws from the legacy of the Sweet Auburn District’s black professional class of the twenties: optometrists, pharmacists, tailors, barbers, and accountants whose work required precision, discipline, and trust. The interiors of the hotel re-imagine the practice, tools, and spaces of these professions through a lens of refined playfulness. Structured patterns of timeless games are complemented by warm tones, natural materials, and spaces to unwind. Shaped around the idea of intellect with a little bit of novelty the result is a hotel that feels intelligent, confident, and fun.

The Jacobethan inspired facade mixed with a 20th century Atlanta business building structure stands proud with its decorative diamond brickwork, terracotta detailing, and tripartite division. Tastefully adorned by floral motifs, stone lettering, and sculptured heads with prominent black features.

Guest Rooms The guestroom signage is inspired by a recovered photograph of the interior of the Odd Fellows Building. This photo offers a glimpse into how businesses in the building advertised their space. The blue door adds a fun pop of color to the tans and browns of the corridor, and it felt important to bring some personality from the past into an important feature of the hotel’s present-day design.

The Odd Ball is the spot to come for a getaway from work, an introduction to Atlanta’s nightlife, BARTOP STONE a taste of Sweet Auburn’s music scene, and everything in between. Diamonds, squares, and circles are more than just shapes here, they’re a representation of the strategy, prestige, and pleasure found in timeless games. Playfulness is the name of the game, with a sophisticated twist.

Light’s Edge

An adaptive reuse farm to table restaurant that focuses on a positive customer experience and reflection of the farm’s beauty.

This farm-to-table restaurant reimagines an existing barn on Fairchild Farm in North Carolina as a warm, light-filled dining space rooted in the rhythms of agriculture. Inspired by the sun, the primary source of life for the farm’s harvest, the design celebrates growth, seasonality, and transparency in food production.

Natural light is embraced throughout the space with unobstructed views of the farm, using timeless and grounding materials to bring warmth but not distract from the food and the land that it came from.

Micro-Apartment

To illustrate the possibility of micro-living in Tulsa, Oklahoma through functional design and cultural immersion by forming thoughtful design concepts and detailed renderings.

Connecting themes from Route 66, road travel, and the Streamline Moderne style, this concept hones in on making it’s residents feel inspired to live in and explore the city of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

CONCEPT SKETCHES Rooted in the legacy of Route 66, this project draws inspiration from Tulsa’s history as a place of movement, opportunity, and new beginnings. Just as the highway once carried people across states in search of work, growth, and possibility, this design reimagines that spirit for a new generation of remote workers seeking connection beyond their screens. Streamline Moderne influences, defined by movement, clarity, and optimism, inform the architectural language, reflecting progress while honoring Tulsa’s past. By framing exterior views and emphasizing fluid circulation, the space invites occupants to engage with the city beyond its walls, encouraging exploration, community involvement, and a sense of belonging. The result is an environment that not only supports remote work but also acts as a gateway to Tulsa itself, showcasing the city as a place where people don’t just work temporarily, but choose to put down roots.

Transformable furniture makes compact living possible. Being able to get a variety of uses from single pieces of furniture creates a versatile and more custom experience for the residents.

To conceptualize the design of a high-rise reception around a renowned artist and exhibit that idea through materials, posters, and digital renderings.

Shibui Design Apartment

To design a small residential space assessing a client’s spatial and cultural needs through the design process of ideation, schematic design, and space planning.

A large focus of the project was the Shibui Design ideology: simple, natural, and imperfect. The materials and furniture selections intend to emulate the South African culture that the client identifies with whilst keeping the colors subdued and the textures emulating the native geography.
