The Serge renewal team is casting a wide net around the world to ignite renewal in people and churches to further the mission of God. Renewal is the catalyst for God’s mission, and Serge invests enormous energy and resources to make this happen.

Serge is always trying to find new missionaries from the next generation to reach new fields. New leadership, missionaries, and donors are needed to further this Kingdom work. Their hearts need to be captured with a sense of purpose, and they need to be equipped for a lifetime of leadership, service, community investment, and compassionate living.
The mobilization department has gifted, passionate, and proactive people who have previously served on the field with Serge. They’re both guides and evangelists for the mission of God. Some work with apprentices
and interns, while others work with people considering long-term ministry. Because the process for a missionary to get to the field can take 2–3 years, a lot of work and service goes into recruiting them.

BUSINESS FOR TRANSFORMATION
As more countries close their doors, missions is becoming more complex and a new kind of missionary is needed. You won’t find them in bible schools or seminaries. Most likely, they’ve started a business and don’t know we’re looking for them. They have the gifts to get into closed countries and build businesses that benefit the community and are welcomed.
These businesses operate in poor, developing countries, secular, Western countries, and areas closed to traditional missionary activity. After initial seed funding, these businesses become profitable, and revenue is poured back into the community. Business for Transformation (B4T)
serve in teams and are trained by experienced business leaders. Often B4T work is the only way to have a gospel witness in these countries where increasing opposition exists.
The goal is to achieve a triple bottom line of personal, social, and spiritual benefits. People are blessed with jobs, communities are built up, and people hear about Jesus, often for the first time.

Serge has always maintained that the gospel of God’s grace motivates and sustains mission. We cannot go out into mission without preaching the gospel to ourselves daily and being renewed.
Our biblical strategy has been tested — Renewal leads to mission. When grace flows into our hearts, it always overflows to others.
