A DAY IN THE LIFE OF FOUR COMMUNICATIONS

We spoke to Aimée Rathle, Digital Performance Executive at Four Communications, who shares her typical day in the office and Whitechapel favourites.

My day in the office starts with a short commute on the Elizabeth Line into Whitechapel station, and after hopping off the train, as if it was muscle memory, I head straight to the Maker’s Café at the bottom of The Hickman to order my morning flat white (and fight the urge to buy one of their pastries). For lunch, I pre-order my salad at The Salad Project in Spitalfields so that I have an excuse to pop into Uniqlo on my way there. I love to people watch, so eating lunch in Spitalfields is a dream. Other times I'll walk across the road to the Whitechapel Gallery as they have a delicious café and restaurant Townsend, or Tayyabs which is a great BYOB Punjabi restaurant near Whitechapel station and Grounded Coffee right across the road from The Hickman for coffee, pastries and sandwiches. After work, I’ll either meet up with friends who also work in the area at one of the many local pubs, The Castle is our usual go-to. If I’m feeling ambitious, I’ll do a workout class around the corner at Kore Gallery or MoreYoga.

The Hickman benefits from being centrally located to all of the very best restaurants, bars and pubs Whitechapel has to offer, and also with the convenience of the Makers Café downstairs, it all makes coming into the office much more enjoyable!
