FAREWELL TO STEVE PHILLIPS A RESPECTED AND ACCOMPLISHED ADVOCATE

We celebrate the retirement of our esteemed colleague, Steve Phillips Steve's remarkable career and contributions have left an indelible mark on our organization

Mr. Phillips began his journey in our office, starting out first in the Master Calendar and at the Jail division, then started working in the Juvenile Court division. While there, he found great success in appealing processes and rulings of those courts. That zeal for appellate work led him to our Superior Court division, where he excelled as an appellate writer. Several years ago, Steve was promoted to Supervising Attorney, demonstrating his exceptional leadership skills and becoming a mentor to his team, creating a collaborative work environment. Steve’s reach extended beyond his own team. He worked on training young lawyers and kept all attorneys updated regularly with changes in the law. He was always willing to brainstorm thorny legal issues and to attorneys in court who had to respond to unexpected questions on the fly.

Throughout his career, Steve Phillips earned immense respect within our organization and from the Superior Court, the Georgia Court of Appeals, and the Georgia Supreme Court. His reputation as an appellate writer and advocate garnered recognition from the legal community.
