Jefferson, Colfax polling locations to merge he aviess ounty lection Authority is notifying all registered voters in Jefferson and olfax ownships that, effective immedi ately, the inston polling location has een merged with the Altamont location. hese voters will now vote at the A ire tation, located at ast nd treet ighway in Altamont. he decision was made after careful con sideration of all factors. “In the end I believe it is not in the best interest of taxpayers to spend their tax money to pay poll workers, e uipment costs, and ballot costs for polling locations only two miles apart,” says aviess ounty lerk onetta urton. “I have made additional arrangements for the March 10 election to insure there is ade uate parking and plenty
of check-in personnel on hand so that voters will not have to wait any additional time a ove normal to vote.
