Day 1 | Fly to Anchorage / Wildlife Conservation Center Today, we travel to Anchorage, Alaska for the start of an incredible vacation. We’ll then journey south along the south along the beautiful Cook Inlet and Turnagain Arm before setting course onto the Kenai Peninsula. We’ll visit the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, a renowned sanctuary home to some of Alaska’s iconic wildlife, including bears, moose, musk oxen, wolves, and more. We'll continue to the scenic coastal town of Seward, Alaska. Day 2 | Kenai Fjords Wildlife Cruise After breakfast this morning, we’ll board a glacier and wildlife cruise into Kenai Fjords National Park. Explore the face of a glacier and enjoy opportunities to view seals, sea lions, whales, eagles, puffins, and more! Day 3 | Hubbard Glacier Today’s voyage takes us into Yakutat Bay and alongside the Tongass National Forest, followed by Disenchantment Bay and the impressive ice wall of Hubbard Glacier. The largest tidewater glacier in Alaska has a face that extends over 6.5 miles in length. Stand in awe as glacier ice may come crashing down into the ice-choked waters below at any moment. Day 4 | Juneau Maneuver into the Gastineau Channel and dock in Alaska’s capital city, Juneau. Take advantage of the included Juneau walking tour highlighting Alaska's early days, mining and drilling history, and State Capitol Building. Other optional excursions include a tour of the Mendenhall Glacier, helicopter tour, or a trip to the top of Mt. Roberts on the aerial tram. Meals: B, L, D Day 5 | Skagway Visit the “Gateway to the Klondike Gold Rush”! This historic community still feels like an 1898 boom town. The voices coming from the saloons still echo in the air, while the legend of outlaw “Soapy Smith” lives on in stories. There’s an option to take the White Pass and Yukon Route Railway on an incredible climb 2,500 feet to the top of the renowned “Dead Horse Trail.” Meals: B, L, D Day 6 | Icy Strait Point Visit Hoonah, the largest Tlingit village in Alaska. Discover the locally carved totems and learn about Tlingit history, culture, arts, and dance. Icy Strait Point is centered around the restored salmon cannery, which now houses a museum, local arts and crafts shops, and restaurants offering freshly caught seafood. The beauty, grandeur, history, and people of the Icy Strait Point region offer a glimpse into the real Alaska. Meals: B, L, D Day 7 | Ketchikan Known as the “Salmon Capital of the World” and “Alaska’s First City”, Ketchikan is a vibrant seaside community. Day 1 | Fly to Fairbanks Today, we travel to Fairbanks, Alaska for the start of an incredible vacation. Upon arrival, we will transfer to Pike's Waterfront Lodge, our home for the next two nights. Get acquainted as we gather together for an authentic Alaskan salmon bake. Meals: D Day 2 | Fairbanks Our day will begin with a trip down Discovery Lane to the riverboat landing for the famed MV Discovery III. From here, we will cruise the waters of the Chena River while enjoying stories of local legends like Felix Pedro and E.T. Barnett. The tour will also highlight a float plane demonstration and a visit to a recreated Athabaskan Village. After lunch we will enjoy a very exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Trail Breaker Kennels, home of the late dog mushing champion, Susan Butcher. After meeting the dogs of the Iditarod, we’ll visit the Morris Thompson Cultural Center to experience Alaska Native art, music, and dance. Meals: B, L Day 3 | Denali National Park This morning we'll travel to Denali National Park for a 43-mile Tundra Wildnerness Tour. As we travel deep into Denali, keep your eyes open for bears, moose, caribou, Dall sheep, and the occasional sighting of a wolf. Enjoy some free time to explore the Denali Visitor Center. Meals: B Day 4 | Denali Rail Depot / Anchorage We start our day at the Denali Rail Depot where we board the rail cars for breakfast and a scenic rail journey south to Talkeetna. Along the way, your rail host will provide history of the rail, insight to the mining projects, and information on the different ecosystems of Alaska. We’ll continue our journey through the Matanuska and Susitna Valleys on our way to Anchorage. Day 1 | Fly to Las Vegas We begin our American West journey where we’ll fly into Las Vegas, Nevada, and take in the views of the grand hotels as we cruise down the Strip. Learn about the history and impact of organized crime as we visit the Mob Museum. We’ll check into the distinctive Treasure Island Hotel and Casino, centrally located on the Strip. Meals: D Day 2 | Ethel M Chocolate Factory / Route 66 We’ll take a short drive to the Ethel M Chocolate Factory and Cactus Gardens, located in the heart of the desert. Grab a delicious treat and take a leisurely stroll through the cactus garden featuring over three acres of ornamental, cacti, and other succulents. We’ll get our “kicks on Route 66”, one of the most scenic drives in Arizona. We’ll stop in Seligman, known as the “birthplace of Historic Route 66” and is full of retro shops, diners, and motels. We’ll continue to Williams, Arizona, our home for the next two nights. Meals: B, D Day 3 | Sedona After breakfast at the hotel, we travel the breathtaking stretch of beauty on the winding Oak Creek Canyon Road with iconic red-rock buttes and oak-shaded canopies. Arriving in Sedona, the remainder of the afternoon is yours to explore on your own. Surrounded by stunning views of the red-rock buttes, Sedona is known for its vibrant arts scene, luxurious spas, and fine restaurants. Return to Williams, Arizona, for dinner on your own in the historic downtown district. Meals: B

Day 4 | Grand Canyon Ride first class aboard the historic Grand Canyon Railway, arriving at the canyon's South Rim for lunch on your own while taking in the magnificent views of the vast Grand Canyon. We'll board the motorcoach and make our way to the east end of Grand Canyon National Park, with plenty of photo stops along

the way, including a stop at the Desert View Watchtower with stunning views of the colorful sandstone rocks and flowing river below that carved out this natural wonder. In the late afternoon, we'll explore the Cameron Trading Post and enjoy a lovely dinner together. We'll end the day by traveling to Kayenta, the gateway to Monument Valley. Meals: B, D

Day 5 | Monument Valley Monument Valley is one of the most majestic points on earth. This great valley boasts sandstone masterpieces that tower upwards, framed by scenic clouds casting shadows that roam the desert floor. The fragile pinnacles of rock are surrounded by miles of mesas and buttes, shrubs and trees, and windblown sand, all comprising the magnificent colors of the valley. We’ll learn much about this unique area and the Navajo Nation that makes up this tribal park by our own native guide. From Monument Valley, we’ll drive to Page, Arizona, passing through the best natural sights of iconic rock formations and pillars. Meals: B, L, D Day 6 | Page / Lake Powell We’ll walk to Horseshoe Bend where the vibrant waters of the Colorado River make a wide sweep around the orange and yellow sandstone bluff at the center. We’ll stop by the Glen Canyon Dam Visitors Center, which overlooks the placid blue waters of Lake Powell, and learn about the Colorado River and its role in settling the West. The afternoon is yours to explore Page, Arizona, on your

own or to take an optional excursion on a guided hike through the beautiful wave-like Antelope Canyon. Meals: B Day 7 | Bryce Canyon National Park Today we’ll travel to Bryce Canyon, a wonder of nature’s sculpted pillars of red, yellow, and brown limestone. From the Visitor’s Center, we’ll take a tour through Bryce Canyon to learn about the wildlife in the park and the geology of the hoodoos including the most famous, Thor’s Hammer. This geological wonder consists of a tall rock spire supporting a large rock on top. Later, we’ll check in to Ruby’s Inn, our home for the night. Meals: B, L

Day 8 | Zion National Park After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll travel to Zion National Park, located in Utah and known for its steep red cliffs and hanging gardens. After lunch on your own, we’ll board an open tram that will take us past the park’s famous scenic wonders including the Great White Throne, Watchman, Angel’s Landing, and Weeping Rock as well as a stop at the Visitor’s Center. Day 4 | Yellowstone National Park / Wildlife Safari Start the day with a visit to the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center where we’ll have the opportunity to experience the world of grizzly bears and gray wolves in Yellowstone. Explore the many museum exhibits at the Museum of Yellowstone. Later this afternoon we’ll enjoy a unique Yellowstone excursion. After dividing into smaller groups accompanied by a local naturalist, we will venture back into Yellowstone National Park. Magnificent sights await us at Mammoth Hot Springs and as we continue east into the Lamar Valley. Gather for a picnic dinner as we watch the start of a beautiful sunset. Dusk is prime time to see wildlife in the park, so be on the lookout for bison, elk, moose, and perhaps a bear or wolves. Once you have decided on a tour, we suggest making your reservation as soon as possible to ensure availability. Many of our tours sell out shortly after they are released to the public.

How are air reservations handled?

We offer a limited number of main cabin seats on our group airfare out of Minneapolis/St. Paul airport. If you are departing from another location, our team is happy to create a custom air schedule for you, or you may choose to meet the group at our destination. What do the hotels serve for breakfast?

Can I extend my stay before or after the tour?

Typical breakfasts include a selection of breads, jam, cereal, fruits, coffee, tea, milk, and juice. Most also include eggs, meats, pastries, and yogurt. On occasion, a bagged breakfast or a cooked to order breakfast will be served.

What is typical for an included dinner?

Are triple accommodations offered? Yes. Some hotels offer a rollaway bed at additional cost, although we are unable to guarantee availability in advance, so two travelers may be required to share a queen or double bed. This may not be comfortable for three adults. Contact us for triple pricing for your desired trip.

I’m nervous about traveling solo. With Landmark Tours, traveling solo doesn’t mean you will be traveling alone. You’ll share your trip with like-minded travelers who are all excited to see and explore, just like you! On a Landmark tour, you can feel safe knowing the details are covered, and you’ll enjoy many experiences that might be difficult to do on your own.

Can you assist in finding me a roommate?

Dinner will vary depending on our location. Most dinners offer a choice of entrée with selections made at the dinner table or selected ahead of time. In order to accommodate a variety of preferences and dietary requirements, or to facilitate a busy schedule, some dinners are served buffet-style.

How is seating arranged on the motorcoach? Seating is assigned and a rotation system is used. Each day our guests will occupy a different seat. You’ll always be seated next to your traveling partner. In order to provide a fair experience for all passengers, we are unable to accept special seating requests and appreciate your participation.

Is there a restroom on the motorcoach? Yes, although we plan our tours so that the typical time between restroom stops is not longer than two hours.

Of course! If you are a single traveler interested in finding a roommate for the trip, we can coordinate pairing you with an additional traveler if one is found. We will never finalize the double reservation until you have had the opportunity to thoroughly discuss the matter with your prospective roommate.

How much time will I spend on the motorcoach?

If you are traveling by yourself, the costs of hotel accommodations are incurred by one person instead of two. Therefore, single accommodations cost more than “double” and “triple” packages.

Each tour day varies depending on the itinerary and the number of miles that are involved. Morning departures generally range from 8:00am to 9:00am. Hotel arrivals are scheduled anywhere from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.

Will I need to carry my own luggage?

What will I receive prior to my tour?

Whenever luggage service is available at a hotel, it will be included. Occasionally, guests will have to wheel luggage in and out of a hotel.

Your Final Travel Documents will be mailed approximately three weeks before your departure. Documents include the tour itinerary, departure and flight details, hotel information, clothing and packing suggestions, baggage tags, and other helpful hints.

Are airline baggage fees included? Due to airline group booking constraints, we are unable to prepay baggage fees. This will be the responsibility of each traveler to be paid at check-in. This can be best handled by credit card.

REAL ID Requirement:

Where do I meet the Tour Manager? The exact meeting point will be indicated in your Final Travel Documents packet. All travelers flying from Minneapolis/St.Paul will meet their Tour Manager prior to check-in and will fly with them to the destination city.

You will need a state-issued REAL ID compliant license or identification card, or another acceptable form of ID (such as a U.S. Passport Book), to fly within the United States. Visit www.tsa.gov for a list of acceptable forms of ID.

Do I need a passport? For all trips outside of the United States, a U.S. Passport Book will be required to cross the border whether travel is by land, air, or sea. We do not accept passport cards. U.S. Customs suggests that your passport’s expiration date be no sooner than six months after your travel ends. Passport cards are not acceptable for international air travel.

May I bring a wheelchair, walker, or other walking assistance device? Foldable wheelchairs and walkers are welcome on tour. They are not permitted onboard the motorcoach and will be stored in the baggage compartment underneath. If you intend to bring a wheelchair or walker, please notify us prior to departure. Landmark Tours personnel and its suppliers are unable to lift or physically assist guests. If you require assistance, we require that you be accompanied by someone who is capable of and totally responsible for providing the assistance.

Are tips included? Tips are included in the tour package for all activities prearranged by Landmark Tours. This includes hotel staff, restaurants, and additional included services such as step-on guides. Tipping for any independent meals or activities will be the responsibility of the traveler. Tips for the Tour Manager and Motorcoach Driver are not included in the tour package.
