Day 2 | Arrive in London / Sightseeing After landing in London and clearing customs, we will board a deluxe motorcoach and start our journey with an orientation tour of the city. We’ll see some of London’s famous landmarks including the House of Parliament with Big Ben and nearby Westminster Abbey. Drive through Trafalgar Square where the National Gallery and St. Martin-in-the-fields Church are located. Afterwards, we’ll check into our hotel. This evening, join your fellow travelers for an authentic, English dinner. Meals: D

Day 3 | Churchill War Rooms / Thames River Cruise After a wholesome, English breakfast, we’ll enjoy a guided tour to see more of London’s best-known sights. We’ll be immersed in the history of wartime London as we visit the Churchill War Rooms. This underground complex housed the British government’s command center throughout WWII. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy a tranquil cruise along the Thames River as we take in beautiful views of this stunning city. This afternoon will be at your leisure to relax or continue exploring the city. Day 4 | London Day of Leisure Today, you’ll have the opportunity to explore London on your own. Perhaps you’ll want to visit the Imperial War Museum, which houses one of the most robust weapon and war memorabilia collections in the world, or witness the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace. Another option is a visit to the London eye, the iconic riverside observation wheel, to watch the sunset. Meals: B

Eiffel Tower - Paris France

Day 5 | Portsmouth / English Channel Ferry After breakfast, we’ll travel south to the southern coast of London. We’ll enjoy a visit to the D-Day Story Museum in Portsmouth. This museum is dedicated to telling the story of Operation Overlord during the Normandy D-Day landings. Afterwards, you’ll have some free time to explore this seaside village. This evening we’ll embark on a ferry ride across the English Channel towards France. We’ll arrive in Caen and continue to our hotel for the evening. Meals: B, D

Day 6 | Normandy Beaches Today will be unforgettable as we learn about one of the most famous days in history: D-Day. We’ll visit the Normandy Beaches, including Omaha beach, near the coastal village of Colleville-sur-Mer. Omaha Beach was one of the principal beachheads where the U.S. Army stormed ashore on D-Day. Afterwards, we’ll explore Pointe du Hoc, located between Utah Beach and Omaha Beach. It is here that a group of American Army Rangers defied all odds by scaling a massive cliff at a critical moment during the invasion. We’ll continue to the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial, a spectacular and emotional setting located on a bluff overlooking both Omaha Beach and the English Channel. Meals: B

Hallgrimskirja Church Normandy American Cemetery & Memorial Day 7 | Caen Memorial Museum / Claude Monet After breakfast, we’ll visit the Caen Memorial Museum, which focuses on the Battle of Normandy. After, we’ll travel to the lovely town of Giverny. The town rose to fame in 1883, when the famous impressionist Claude Monet discovered the village and moved there. Enjoy a visit to the Monet House and Gardens and see firsthand the inspiration for many of Monet’s most famous works. We’ll continue our journey and arrive at our hotel in the beautiful city of Paris. Meals: B, D

Day 8 | Paris City Tour / Eiffel Tower After a delicious breakfast, we’ll enjoy a tour of Paris, also known as the “City of Lights.” Not only is Paris the capital of France, but Paris is considered the global capital of cuisine, art, fashion, and more. Admire the city’s most stunning attractions; Place de la Concorde, Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame, Champs Elysees, and many more. Together, we'll visit the second floor of the Eiffel Tower, as well as enjoy the many collections at the Musee de l’Armee. Meals: B

Day 9 | Palace of Versailles This morning we’ll travel to Versailles for a fascinating visit of the Château and the brilliant hall filled with mirrors and chandeliers, numerous galleries, salons, and royal apartments, all lavishly decorated and fitted with ornate furnishings. The magnificent fountains, supplied by almost 100 miles of pipes, spray jets of water in a forceful dance. You will also have an opportunity to explore at your own pace. Afterwards, travel back to Paris where the rest of the day is at your leisure. Meals: B, D

Day 10 | Travel Home Sadly, our journey must come to an end. We’ll travel to the airport where our flight home awaits. We’ll head home today with the satisfaction of a memorable adventure. Meals: B
