GOWEEKLY 20 2017 HOROSCOPE
PISCES
February, 19 - March, 20 Public attention isn't inherently a bad thing, especially when you have something positive to offer. You've been secretly working on for the past six months may be ready to be revealed, even if YOU don't think it is. Make sure you go "high," especially if the naysayers go low. You don't know who'll be watching.
ARIES
Popular Taurus
Busta Rhymes Born: May 20, 1972
TAURUS
April, 20 - May, 20 Making too many sacrifices will cost you, both emotionally and physically. Save your precious energy for a creative project that feels deeply meaningful. Let go of burdens that don't serve you, including projects stuck in limbo. When in doubt, pay attention to your body’s visceral input.
LOVE Romance is big on your mind, as is the need to speak plainly. Make sure you're not wasting your energy on someone who's all smoke and mirrors. While you may be picking out baby names and posting soulmate memes on Instagram, they might be otherwise entangled. Get the full story.
2
March 21, – April 19 Don't fall for a charming ne'er-do-well. Real relationships aren't built on big talk and good looks. Have your fun—but sleep with one eye open! Shake the right tree and money might just fall out! Go ahead and share your brainstorm for a business venture: Your pitch may fall on exactly the right pair of ears.
GEMINI
May, 21 - June, 20 Sometimes, you have to fall apart to come together. Circumstances in your personal life could swing wildly from one pole to the other. Someone may emerge from the shadows at exactly the right time to extend a helping hand to you. Stressful circumstances aside, a unique blend of tradition and innovation can ground you into a new emotional reality and give you the inner security you need.
"Up, up and away!"
AQUARIUS -
VIRGO
August, 23 - September, 22 Someone could be blocking your efforts to get things done or interrupting progress with drama and constant "crises." Put up boundaries against energy vampires, and don't let them derail you. This is also a good time to check out volunteer work opportunities.
LIBRA
September, 23 - October, 22 Changes could arrive out of the blue, shaking things up. While this could be disruptive (or not) in the short-term, it will most certainly bring greater opportunity in the long-term, setting your plans on a foundation that's built to last. Cultivating an abundant mindset is just as vital as working hard and knowing the right people.
SCORPIO
October, 23 - November, 22 Avoid projecting your emotional baggage onto a love interest. Subjecting someone to a verbal dressing-down isn't going to heal rampant insecurity. Your sign is naturally suspicious, but in this scenario, would you rather be right or happy? Slow down and listen to your gut before going nuclear with accusations.
SAGITTARIUS
November, 23 - December, 21 One minute you're feeling paranoid and critical; the next you're dropping your drawbridge and letting someone in. You get a bird’s-eye view of the drama caused by letting your inner control freak take the wheel. Is it worth breaking your bond to snoop, or micromanage someone?
CANCER
CAPRICORN
June, 21 - July, 22 Apply your determination to a major health goal, like running a marathon (or a half), completing a 30-day fitness challenge or quitting smoking for once and for all. Setting intentions to take care of your mind-bodyspirit wellbeing will have a huge payoff.
December, 22 - January, 19 The spotlight is on you and a personal project or passion. Make a bold move, speak up, and advance your agenda. A solo venture you've been developing for the last six months could come together effortlessly. You will attract an angel investor or a surprising supporter.
LEO
AQUARIUS
July, 23 - August, 22 Drowning in details? Tasks and demands are being thrust at you at warp speed, but you're feeling too foggy to process them all. Instead of barreling ahead blindly, slow down and reconnect with the original mission. Don't sweat the small stuff.
January, 20 - February, 18 Focus on how you or your work can help others. And be generous with sharing the accolades. At the same time, watch out for someone looking to steal your thunder. If you've wanted to start your own business, the universe will shove you forward now. Up, up and away!

GOWEEKLY 20 2017 COVER STORY
Tito
Doran Tito Doran is no stranger when it comes to the media industry. He was a national TV host before he could vote. His first gig came when he was just 9 years old. Now, at the age of 23, he’s the youngest news anchor at TeleCuraçao. He has worked hard to reach his level of success, and has managed to stay grounded throughout it all. Go Weekly sat down with this talented young man, to talk about his career, growing up with legendary parents, his new TV show and E! News! Editor: Sendeliz Gibbes Photography: Nestor G. Zavarce
How did you jump-start your career in the media industry? In my younger years, I used to host ‘Before & After for Kids’, and ‘Nos Mundu’. I took a break from presenting after I started High School (HAVO). At

COVER STORY GOWEEKLY 20 2017
a certain point I had to fill in for my aunt on her TV show because she was on vacation. Because I did such a great job on her TV show, I kept presenting for an entire year. In 2015 I started hosting my own show, #Siguimi. I have also been a news anchor for CBA, and now for TeleCuraçao.
when I was little, and watch her present the news. I hosted the Tumba Festival this year for TeleCuraçao, and they liked how I did it so much that they asked me to present the news. So now I'm presenting the news, and my own show, HighLight. It’s on the air from Monday to Thursday at 7:00 PM on TeleCuraçao.
How does it feel to grow up with parents who are famous? What effect did it have on you?
What’s the best part of being a news anchor and TV Host?
As a kid, it was not pleasant. On the first day of High school, I cried. Every one kept on saying; 'there's Netty, and Gibi's kid'. I'm a very shy individual, even though it might not seem that way. People were gossiping about my family, and it got to a point where I even asked my mom why they were my parents. But I've grown a thick skin now. I've also realized that being famous has its advantages.
Now, at the age of 23, you are one of the youngest news anchor in Curaçao, just like your mother was. Did you always want to be a news anchor? Yes! I always wanted to present the news. I still remember, how I would accompany my mom to the studio
You need to stay up to date with the news, and current events. I like to be well informed on all topics. I like culture, and I've gotten into politics. Your knowledge of general affairs grows a lot. I look up to news anchors like Caresse, Nicole Maduro, Howard Suares and Germone. I like how they present the news. My mom used to give me tips, but now that she's seen that I can hold my own, she just keeps an eye on me.
How do you prepare yourself before a news cast? I get myself ready, fresh up, dress up, show up. You have to be “on fleek” because it's TV. I arrive, get my text, read from the prompter, and present the news. Is it easy? I guess I'm used to it, it just flows naturally, even though it's live. I've never had any bloopers at
TeleCuraçao yet, but I did have some at CBA. I mispronounced the name Gassan Dannawi and I said it with such confidence too. But that's because I didn’t realize I had made a mistake.
What’s the best lesson you’ve learned from working in the media industry? Focus on constructive criticism, and tips that might help you in your career. Be happy with who you are, and don't worry about the negative comments. For example, a few months ago they posted on social media, stating that I was “copying” outfits from another news anchor. It blew up, but had zero effect on me. I actually got free publicity from it.
What’s next on your to-do list of life goals? I'm currently studying to become a Papiamentu teacher at the UoC, and I am eager to finish my degree. That's one of my goals. And my ultimate goal as a TV Host would be to present E! News one day! I love what I do! Every day, I re-watch and analyze myself. I try to improve my performance on a daily basis, that's my daily goal.

ART RULES GOWEEKLY 20 2017
Art Rules Curaçao We have all heard the expression “art makes the world better.” The creative minds of Art Rules take that expression one step further, for they believe that Art Saves Lives. Throughout the years, Art Rules’ teachers have witnessed students using their creativity to express emotions and experiences they find otherwise difficult to voice. Furthermore, they have learned to use art as a problem solving tool to apply in their day-to-day lives, a trait they are paying forward in their community. Art is used to highlight important issues in our society and around the world as it gives a voice to the voiceless. The beauty of art The beauty about art is that it brings people together and share a common experience, even if they come from very different backgrounds. It teaches us to open our minds and respect those who are different from us. It is the one area where it is encouraged to respectfully disagree with one another. Politicians, activists and even the private sector are inspired by artists and its everlasting effect in the population it serves. So yes, art does make the world better, but it also saves lives.

Low-Calorie Midnight Snacks If your late-night eating includes buttery grilled cheese, ice cream, pizza of potato chips, here are two healthier options for you. Make these low-calorie options ahead of time for quick snacking when the mood strikes!
Quinoa Pizza Bites Ingredients - 1 tube of quinoa polenta - 1 tablespoon olive oil - 3 Roma tomatoes, sliced - 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella - 3 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
Carrot Chips Ingredients - 2 large carrots - 1/2 teaspoon olive oil (or melted coconut oil) - 1/8 teaspoon sea salt Directions Preheat oven to 350°F. Wash and peel the carrots. Using a mandoline slicer or a knife, tilt the carrot, and thinly slice diagonally to make oval-shaped pieces if they're too thick, they'll be soft instead of crunchy. Place the carrot slices in a bowl, and toss with olive oil and salt. Lay the carrots in a single layer on a cookie sheet lined with a Silpat or parchment paper. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the carrots are dry and crisp. Watch them carefully toward the end, as they can burn quickly. Calories per serving 79

Directions Pour the oil in a pan and heat on low. Cut the polenta into 15 quarter-inch-thick slices. Place the polenta in the pan and cook each side until slightly golden brown, about 10 minutes each side. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Place the polenta on foil on a cookie sheet. Top each piece with a slice of tomato. Sprinkle with cheese and fresh basil and bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Calories per piece 50
