W elcome to the Ressler Ranch annual production sale.

Without a doubt, the last few years have been nothing short of chaos and

full of change. Not just in the entire world but more obviously in our world of ranching. That is where we as ranchers seem to come out ahead. We deal with chaos and change on an everyday basis in our line of work. Things like a historic drought or unpredictable market prices. Knowing the art of raising cattle will always have change and chaos intermingled in our occupation, we can and must focus on the elements that we can control. One of the most important elements? The genetics that are implemented into your heard. That is where Ressler Ranch steps in. We know there are plenty of sources for Angus genetics. Our belief is that these bulls and heifers will elevate your herd to the next tier. Steers that pack on the pounds and heifers that provide an elevated level of genetics for years to come. We love to have visitors. Sale day always seems to be a whorl wind. We highly encourage you to visit our ranch ahead of time or at any time of the year.

We are once again, extending our heifer offering with the help of the Goettle family who have been implementing exclusively Ressler genetics in their herd for the last 7 years. They have seen a continuous increase in weaning weights, fertility rates, and docility. We would also like to welcome back, Randy Ressler, Ryan’s dad as a yearling commercial heifer consigner. His heifers have been exclusively bred with Ressler Ranch bulls for 10 plus years.

We have watched how our bulls have performed in Randy’s herd firsthand.

It has been a massive tool in monitoring and improving our genetics all these years.

Sale Order/Supplement Sheet: A sale order will be available sale day along with a supplemental sheet with scrotal measurements, adjusted yearling weights, and ultrasound data.

Insurance: Bulls that are purchased sale day become the buyers’ responsibility as soon as they are sold. We recommend insuring the bulls on sale day. Dakota Ag Insurance will be available to assist you with mortality and infertility insurance. Dakota Ag Insurance: 605-990-5355 (office), 605-999-4475 (cell).

Feeding and Delivery: Bulls are kept free of charge until April 1, 2022. Free delivery is offered in North Dakota or up to 300 miles on bulls with delivery beyond at-cost. We will assist in any way possible to get your bull to you. Please leave the delivery instructions at settlement time. Delivery on heifers is at the buyer’s cost.

Terms and Conditions: The terms of the sale are cash. Phone or mail bids are welcome and may be given to the auctioneer or any of the sale representatives. Live bidding will be available online at www.DVAuction.com. Please review the below information and REGISTER EARLY to be an approved bidder before the sale. Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder. Any bidding disputes will be settled by the auctioneer. Any person attending the sale does so at their own risk. Neither the owners nor any person connected with this sale assumes any liability, legal or otherwise. Cattle will sell according to the terms and conditions suggested by the American Angus Association.

Guarantee: Each bull sells with a first breeding season satisfaction guarantee and fertility/structural soundness warranty. “First Breeding Season” is defined as the 90 days following the first turnout of the bull(s). In the event that a bull becomes unsound due to structural flaws or becomes infertile, contact Ryan Ressler at 701-797-7212 to start a claim. The warranty does not apply to injuries, illness, neglect, or death of the bull. If there is a claim, a replacement bull of equal or higher value will be provided if available. If a replacement is not available, a credit minus salvage value will be issued, which may be used at a future Ressler Ranch sale. Under no circumstance will Ressler Ranch be liable for more than the net purchase of any bull. This guarantee ends at the end of the purchase year. Ressler Ranch recommends the purchase of livestock mortality insurance to mitigate this type of loss.

Breeding Guarantee: All bulls are guaranteed breeders and guaranteed healthy on sale day. All bulls will be semen tested before delivery.

Bulls are guaranteed breeders their first breeding season. Pink eye and foot rot shots are available upon request when they are semen tested.

Semen Interest: Ressler Ranch will retain a one-third semen interest in all bulls sold.

2021 Commercial Heifer Notes We have an exciting new opportunity for our customers to purchase an even broader quality of commercial heifers.

We would like to welcome the Wyatt and Becky Goettle family, from Donnybrook, ND. They have been exclusively breeding their cows with Ressler Ranch bulls for the last 5 years. They have brought in a complete set of April born native range-hardy heifers. The Goettle family has worked towards raising quality replacement heifers by focusing on calving ease, impeccable feet, docility, milk production, udder/teat shape and size, and an annual increase in weaning weights. Wyatt says, “I have been so happy with the bulls from Ressler Ranch that I haven’t had any reason to look elsewhere. Never have I had so many replacement quality females to pick from.” In addition, he has seen a drastic increase in his heifer pregnancy rates.

The Ressler heifers offered in this year’s production sale are direct daughters of Regiment, Professional, Earnan, Acclaim, Stunner, Fire Brand, Legendary, Rainfall, and Supercharger. The Goettle heifers in this year’s production sale are sired by Ressler Ramasses, Ressler Rampart, Ressler Bank Note, and Ressler Big Sky. They are easy fleshing and naturally muscular in a sound structure and a feminine profile. Over the last several years their dams have been providing us with reproductively efficient females and scale pounding steers.

All the Black Angus heifers have been fully vaccinated, vet checked open, evaluated for reproductive soundness, with each one deemed not only adequate in their calving capacity but also mature in their reproductive tract. Any heifers that were labeled as narrow or too immature have been removed from the selection to ensure they will be ready come breeding season and low maintenance during calving. The buyer takes a minimum of 5 head and may take the whole group.
