Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity needs to raise more than £50 million every year to fund ground-breaking research projects, rebuild and refurbish our buildings and buy the most up-to-date specialist equipment for the hospital.

We also provide vital support for our young patients and their families, such as accommodation so that mums and dads can be with their children at this crucial time.

One gift worth a special mention is the newest member of our teddy bear family, Bernard Bear. We asked some of our supporters to give him a name and were overwhelmed with the response. There were lots of suggestions, but Bernard felt right – it means ‘brave and strong’ just like the many children that come to Great Ormond Street Hospital. I’ll be getting my very own Bernard Bear – I hope you’ll get one too, and hug him often!
