Earlier this year we were devastated to lose one half of this incredible duo, our friend Kevin Lynch, who was the head of our Pavilion family and partner and husband to Stuart of nearly 50 years. His passing leaves a gaping hole in the life of the theatre, not only for us and all of the staff but also for our audiences, who remember Kevin fondly as the kind face that greeted them at the front desk.
We are determined to carry on with our celebrations and to properly mark the huge contribution of both Kevin and Stuart to the Pavilion, so we will be holding a special gala fundraiser show on Saturday 8th July in their honour. We’d love to see you there.
In the meantime, we’ve been working hard to put together a programme of events that we know you will love as well as gearing up for a special season of Summer Showtime and also refreshing and revitalising our end of year pantomime, with our new creative team at the helm presenting Dick Whittingon
We’re so excited to show you what we’ve been up to and can’t wait to welcome you back to the theatre soon!

The Upbeat Beatles are second to none - powerhouse vocals, precision harmonies and tight musicianship. The guys have an easy, happy rapport with any crowd, giving them a reputation to be envied as the best in the business. There isn’t a band to touch them - 8 bars of “Twist and Shout” and you will know why! No other band can perform this song like the Upbeat Beatles! The show takes you through the Fab Four’s long and winding road from the early Cavern days through Beatlemania, America, Sergeant Pepper to Abbey Road, with narrative and full multi-media presentation.

The Pavilion Players present this play By Colin Barrow that revolves around the time-old classic of a mother-in-law versus her daughter-in-law. Stella Watts has agreed with her husband Brian to take their daughter Amy and his mother Florrie on a two-week family holiday. It’s the eleventh day and, as yet, they’ve been unable to get away from each other thanks to the appalling bad weather. As the day unfurls, situations can’t stop romance creeping into the family from all angles; one assurance is that Florrie Watts, who wishes she’d stayed at home, will most certainly have the last laugh.
