The Lennox room is the perfect setting for intimate celebrations with family and friends with its elegant interiors, adjoining bar and mouth-watering food served from the Richmond Arms, it is private dining at its finest.
Christmas at Goodwood Our three night festive breaks are all that you could wish for the season: delicious home cooked food, carefully created from Estate reared organic produce, evening entertainment, and plenty to occupy your day: from fresh winter walks, to indulgent treatments at The Waterbeach or a dip in the pool. Choose your perfect stay with us: dine in the Richmond Arms, where ingredients are sourced from award winning Estate reared meats and cheeses and local producers in dishes celebrating their English heritage with a contemporary twist. Or choose the Goodwood Bar & Grill, our brasserie style restaurant, serving British favourites in a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for families.
Christmas Eve Wednesday 24th December Arrive from 2pm and have the afternoon free to settle in and soak up the festive atmosphere. From 3pm you are invited to join the Hotel Manager and her team for a traditional afternoon tea served in the historic Richmond Arms bar with its crackling log fire. Throughout the evening, light music will fill the air whilst you enjoy a mouth-watering dinner at a time to suit you; in the Richmond Arms restaurant indulge in a five course tasting menu or in the Goodwood Bar & Grill enjoy a lovely three course meal. For guests wishing to attend Midnight Mass, a coach will depart for nearby Boxgrove Priory at 10.45pm with a hot drink waiting for your return.
Christmas Day Thursday 25th December Awake on Christmas morning, share presents and enjoy a relaxed Sussex breakfast before taking a stroll around the Goodwood Estate or enjoying a dip in the pool to work up an appetite for the main event. Enjoy a welcome drink before a three course traditional Christmas lunch with all the trimmings. In the afternoon, relax with a good book, rest your eyes by the fire or take in the Sussex countryside. Complete your day with an informal buffet supper, perhaps a board game or two or simply take the time to chat with friends and family over a drink.
Boxing Day Friday 26th December With breakfast served until 10.30am, you can sleep in on Boxing Day and a rolling light lunch served to fit in with your timings, your day is free to do exactly as you please. Why not enjoy a complimentary guided tour of the State Apartments at Goodwood House, home to the Dukes of Richmond for over 300 years, or a step back in time at the nearby Weald & Downland Museum. In the evening a delicious three course dinner, including a magnificent array of desserts and Estate cheeses will be served, and then fabulous live music will entertain you into the night.
