DEAR FRIENDS OF GOODWILL: Choosing hope each day at Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska makes many amazing things possible throughout our 55 county service area! As C.E.O. of this organization, it is a pleasure to share our accomplishments with you. In 2017, our Developmental Disability Services in Hastings, Kearney and Grand Island grew from serving 117 to 127 individuals. We continue to expand opportunities for those we serve to participate in our Residential Services and In-Home Residential Habilitation Service. We do this by providing individualized support and training to acquire and improve the skills needed to become as independent as possible. Our entire Services Division continues to grow as well. In 2016, we served 1,580 people, and in 2017, we served 1,946. We know we will continue to serve more people with our expansion of Behavioral Health Services and Employment and Career Services to Boone, Colfax, Nance and Platte counties with our office location in Columbus. Having a stable home is crucial to helping those we serve succeed. Although our HUD Housing Partners project in Scottsbluff/Gering ended this year, we still maintain 43 apartments in Columbus, Hastings, Kearney and Grand Island. Our eight Retail Stores support our Mission and Operations. As shopping patterns change, we have adapted by tracking new inventory, opening an Outlet Store in Grand Island, and expanding our online shopping opportunities through, ShopGoodwill, Amazon and eBay. Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska continues to benefit from the generous citizens in our region who donated 11,544,000 pounds in 2017. These donations are the lifeline to our Retail Stores. We are so thankful for all we have made possible in 2017. Although challenges are ahead, I believe they will become opportunities for success if we approach them with the attitude reflected in this quotation: “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass. It’s about learning how to dance in the rain.” ~ Vivian Green To all of our donors, stakeholders and customers, please know all your support for Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska, Inc. is appreciated! Sincerely,

Chief Executive Officer Tamara L. Slater
