February was a very busy and exciting month. We were honored to welcome more than 150 of our Goodwill friends to town for the Goodwill International Inc. DGROLE event.
Thank you to all the stores that helped with many last-minute tour requests. A special thank you to the Cortez team for hosting several days of river tours and meaningful conversations throughout the week.

It is always an honor to share our Goodwill story and highlight the amazing work we do every day. None of this would be possible without the hard work and dedication of our team members.
Last month, we also had the chance to celebrate some great milestone dinners. Congratulations to Tara, Clark, Albee, and the Arcadia team on reaching these important milestones. We are proud of you and thankful for all the hard work you do every day.

Many teams held their team meetings in March. It is always great to see teams come together to celebrate and recognize all they have accomplished.

The Rialto team is pictured above before breaking into smaller groups. The Laurel team also had some fun by turning the game “Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes” into a challenge while practicing their listening skills. It was a quick, fun way to learn and connect as a team.
This month, we celebrated Jackie Lovitt and her 23 years with Goodwill, most recently at our Oslo location. Over the years, she worked in many roles and locations. Jackie showed our core value of Prioritizing People in how she treated team members, donors, and customers. We wish her a happy retirement.

Lucas gifted notebooks to the leaders with their Leadership Vision Statements on the cover during our DGR Leadership Meeting at North Ops, reinforcing the commitments made during the LDP3 journey.

Abra completed HCP training with Safety Champions during this month’s Risk Management Meeting and announced the rollout of updated signage and material movement labels.

Village Commons Attended Donation Center opened February 27th at 931 Village Blvd. #901 in West Palm Beach. This new location reflects our ongoing commitment to Pursuing Excellence as GIPB continues to grow.

March Meditation Challenge
Meditation is a practice that helps focus or clear your mind, reducing stress and anxiety while promoting relaxation and overall well-being. During the month of March, commit to 5 minutes of daily meditation.
• Find a quiet place to sit, focus on your breathing, and try to clear your mind.
• Log your daily progress.
• On March 31, send your log and a note that describes how the daily meditation helped you throughout the month to benefits@gimi.org or benefits@gipb.org .
• We will award one $20 gift card for every 10 participants.
As part of our continued efforts to improve communication, gather meaningful feedback, and strengthen the employee experience, we will be launching our Electronic Exit Interview. This new process allows departing team members to easily complete their exit interview electronically, helping us gather valuable feedback and improve our workplace experience.

FLU SHOT = REWARD! (1/1-3/31)
Get your flu shot and submit proof to benefits@gimi.org or benefits@gipb.org for a $10 gift card!

Join us in welcoming Sara Blackwell as she joins the Risk Management team as the new QA Director. Sara bring years of knowledge with a strong legal background. We are excited to have her as part of the Goodwill team.
In line with our core value of Promoting Accountability, Thank you Abra for partnering with Risk and demonstrating a great HCP (Household Chemical Product) breakdown training activity during the February Risk Management Meeting. Continuous training and communication are paramount as we are all accountable for safety. Following this structured process saves items from going to the trash and protects our TM's, Customers, and Environment.

Communication is critical to our success.
• Share your knowledge and ask questions: The monthly Risk management meeting is a great venue for that communication
• Daily huddles keep our teams in the know and part of the team
• Ask your auditors to do a walk through with you separate from your audit, ensure compliance
• Wearing gloves at the donor door and ADC is required
• TM's must work in the role that matches their job description and only use equipment they have been trained on

Store leadership is an extension of your support departments (HR, Safety & Risk, LP etc.) If you see something, say something.
• Goodwill does not provide camera footage to customers on request. If the customer has filed a police report, once the officer has reached out to our LP team and requested the footage in writing, the LP associate will then work with the requesting officer.
• Document all suspicious activity but never put yourself in harms way.
• Pay attention to detail, glasses, height, mask, gloves, weapon, skin color, sex, age, shoes, prints or patterns, etc.
• Keys are an important part of your location's security; leadership must be diligent and intentional as a key carrier.

Example: Who is this masked man?

Please join us in welcoming Saskya Altieri as our new Learning & Development Generalist!
Saskya holds a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction and brings a strong background in teaching, facilitation, and curriculum design.
