GIMI OPERATIONS 2025 Milestones
Longboat Key Opening
Leadership Development
I want to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for everyone’s hard work and dedication to our organizational initiatives. Thanks to your efforts, we surpassed our budget by an impressive 4.77%. All GGCs, Barns, and Bookstores exceeded their targets, and we have several exciting milestones reached to celebrate together.
In December, we proudly opened our fourth bookstore on Longboat Key. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to making this launch such a success. Your efforts not only boosted sales but brought our mission into a new market we welcomed 242 donors in just two short weeks of operation. This achievement reflects the incredible teamwork and commitment across our organization.
In December we were thrilled to promote several talented team members into new operation's leadership roles. Please join me in congratulating them on these well-deserved achievements:
Congratulations to Albee, Tara, Clark, Arcadia, Englewood, Corporate Campus, Cortez, and Ranch Lake for achieving significant milestones at their locations. Your commitment and teamwork have truly made this a remarkable year.
•
Dino Volpi will be supporting our team on the other coast as the newest Regional Director of Donated Goods Retail.
•
Sherry Hendrickson will be stepping into Dino’s previous role and moving to Ranch Lake to support that growing team.
•
Shawn Murphey, after a short period as MIT, has been promoted to TLC at Honore.
•
David Carik, who played a key role in opening LBK, will now support our Clark Bookstore as TLC starting in January.
•
Jessica Koehler has been promoted from Keyholder to Bookstore TLC and will be supporting our LBK Bookstore in the coming weeks.
These promotions reflect the incredible talent and dedication within our organization. Congratulations to each of you—we’re excited to see the impact you’ll make in your new roles!
GIPB OPERATIONS Leadership and Partnership
Team Connection and Celebration
Milestones & Year-End Alignment
December marked an exciting time of growth and connection for GIPB Operations. We were thrilled to welcome Dino Volpi, our new Regional Director of Donated Goods Retail, who has begun traveling the territory, meeting teams, and building strong relationships across our locations. His early engagement has brought fresh energy and a strong focus on partnership.
December also provided opportunities to pause, connect, and celebrate our teams. Through the new Petty Cash process, GGCs, Salvage, and Bargain Barn teams were able to host holiday parties that recognized the hard work and dedication shown throughout the year.
We proudly celebrated a major milestone as South Dixie reached $3 Million, a testament to consistent effort, strong leadership, and teamwork. This achievement represents the impact our teams make every day in support of our mission.
We also welcomed Julie Greco as our Operations Business Partner. Julie has been working closely with teams across the South and Central regions, supporting leaders through her training plan and hands on collaboration. Her partnership has already strengthened alignment and day-to-day operational support.
Our ADC teams were celebrated with holiday gift bags, including festive holiday socks, as a small token of appreciation for their continued commitment. These moments reflect our focus on prioritizing people and fostering a positive, connected culture across operations.
Leadership also came together for a presentation from Donn and Brady focused on the Four Pillars of Organizational Growth, followed by a holiday recognition dinner. These conversations reinforced our shared direction and set the tone for a strong start to the year ahead, grounded in partnership, alignment, and a commitment to pursuing excellence.
