JENN THOMPSON (Director) is thrilled to return to Goodspeed after directing last summer’s world-premiere Anne of Green Gables on this stage. Other Goodspeed productions include The Music Man (winner of the 2019 Connecticut Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Musical), Oklahoma! (nominated for 7 CCC Awards) and Bye Bye Birdie (nominated for 5 CCC Awards). Recent productions include the current National Tour of Annie, Diary of a Wimpy Kid - The Musical at CTC and Chains for Off-Broadway’s celebrated Mint Theatre where her 2016 production of Women Without Men garnered Lortel and Off-Broadway Alliance Award nominations for Outstanding Revival as well as 5 Drama Desk Award nominations, including Outstanding Director and Revival. Regional highlights include The Secret Garden (Denver Center Theatre), Mary Stuart (Chicago Shakespeare Theatre), as well as productions at Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, St. Louis Rep, Barrington Stage Company, Pioneer Theatre Company, City Theatre, Portland Stage Company, Dorset Theatre Festival and The Rev Theatre Company. Connecticut credits include A Doll’s House, Part 2 and The Call at TheaterWorks Hartford as well as Abundance at Hartford Stage (CCC nomination: Outstanding Director/Revival). Jenn served as a founding member of Connecticut’s award-winning River Rep at the Ivoryton Playhouse, where she appeared in and/or directed over 50 productions, over 19 seasons and as Co-Artistic Director of Off-Broadway’s award-winning TACT/The Actors Company Theatre. ADAM SOUZA (Music Director) Broadway credits include Wicked, Kinky Boots. National Tours: Wicked (2nd National, original MD/Conductor), Kinky Boots (1st National original MD/ Conductor), Spamalot (1st National, MD/Conductor), The Midtown Men, and Les Misérables. Adam also served as Associate Music Supervisor for the international mountings of Wicked in São Paolo, Brazil (in Portuguese) and Mexico City (in Spanish). His regional credits include Next to Normal (Hartford TheaterWorks), North Shore Music Theatre, and over 20 productions with Goodspeed, including 42nd Street, Cabaret, A Grand Night for Singing, Because of Winn Dixie, The Great American Mousical with Julie Andrews, Snapshots by Stephen Schwartz, George M!, Brigadoon, Very Good Eddie, and Rags. Adam serves as Music Supervisor for Destination Broadway (destinationbroadway.org) and has served on faculty for the Boston Conservatory at Berklee as an Associate Professor of Musical Theatre, of which he is also an alumnus.
