SANDERSON HOME LAUNCHES PORT ISAAC, A CELEBRATION OF THE GREAT BRITISH COAST, NEW FOR AUTUMN/WINTER 2018 The British coast is a place of wonder. Iconic and idyllic in equal measure, there’s nowhere quite like it. From gentle waves sparkling on a summer’s day to sailing boats decorating the widest of seas, here is a place where memories are made and treasured forever.

Celebrating the charm of a perfect day spent with friends and family, paddling in rock pools, drinking in the endless horizon or stacking tide-worn pebbles, Port Isaac from Sanderson Home is a fun-loving collection of wallpaper and fabrics, perfectly representing coastal living.

Rebecca Craig, Sanderson’s head of design said, “The Sanderson studio was inspired by beaches and seaside destinations from all around England, creating a captivating collection which is easy to use and that offers outstanding value. Designed to blend seamlessly with the colours used in Sanderson’s Potting Room collection, Port Isaac has a relaxed and sophisticated feel.”

Hand drawn depictions of wood clad beach huts stand side by side as flocks of coastal birds fly overhead in a cloudless sky, their counterparts choosing to make footprints in the sand. Clusters of seaside pebbles nestle in clear, shallow waters and cheeky lobster and seagull designs add an element of fun.

Finely embroidered harbour inspired geometrics and trailing motifs of coastal plants adorn accurately coloured fabrics, bringing a true seaside feel to this collection of 10 wallpaper designs, six weaves and six prints. Additionally, a semi-plain weave book of 20 colours completes the Port Isaac range.

Bold tones of Marine, Coral and Lichen are layered amongst the restful Driftwood, Blush and Sky blue, carefully translating the unique and special place that is the British coastline into the home.

The launch comprises three books: Port Isaac Wallpapers, Port Isaac Fabrics and the Herring Weaves book.

PORT ISAAC WALLPAPERS Sanderson Home pays homage to the English seaside with Port Isaac, a collection of 10 charming wallpaper designs depicting some of our coast’s most iconic scenes. Hand drawn seabirds, classic beach huts and shimmering horizons evoke memories of daytrips and endless summers. Subtle mica highlights and shimmering metallic inks add definition to Port Isaac’s coastal colour palette.

CORALINE Coraline is an elegant wallpaper developed from intricate lace-like hand cut lino prints. Subtle mica highlights nestle within the contours of the coral, adding definition and providing a subtle shimmer.

Available in four colourways: Driftwood, Gull, Sky and Marine LARINA Graceful silhouetted seabirds soar in the summer sky on this calming Sanderson Home wallpaper. Larina is an excellent co-ordinate with the rest of the Port Isaac collection.

Available in three colourways: Driftwood, Gull and Sky RIPLEY This quirky all over design from the Port Isaac collection is inspired by the coastal horizon, with an ombre effect representing the furthest seas meeting the safety of the shore. Graduating tones combine with a flash of colour adding a playful aspect to this wallpaper.

Available in three colourways: Ochre/Slate, Aqua/Lichen and Nautical MARIS This captivating design shows sea urchins carefully placed in rows to create an all over geometric effect. The intricate dots have been

individually hand painted with a delicate mix of matt and metallic inks giving a hint of lustre.

29 Available in two colourways: Gilver and Oyster SAILOR Inspired by homeward bound sailing boats at Cornwall’s picturesque Port Isaac, the original artwork for this captivating wallpaper was created to retain many of the marks and textures obtained during the printing process.

Sailor is an excellent colour match wallpaper and is available in four colourways: Gull, Pacific, Nautical and Sky BEACH HUTS This wallpaper from Sanderson Home was inspired by the iconic English beach hut. Each hut has been individually crafted using lino printing, with the prints then drawn back using fine liners and pencil to add definition.

CROMER Quirky and cheerful, this fun wallpaper from Sanderson Home was inspired by the annual Crab and Lobster Festival in Cromer, Norfolk. The artwork was created using lino printing, with ink rolled over stencils on textured paper.

Available in two colourways: Gull and Driftwood and Rust COBBLE Inspired by pebble beaches, this design was created by hand cutting two lino blocks, one positive and the other negative and printing them on top of each other to create a layered appearance.

EMBROIDERY CROMER EMBROIDERY These lovely small-scale embroidered lobsters provide a real coastal feel. Designed to complement Port Isaac’s wallpaper and print of the same name.

Available in two colours: Coral and Stone COBBLE Inspired by pebble beaches this design was created by hand cutting two lino blocks, one positive and the other negative and printing them on top of each other to create the layered appearance which was then interpreted into a textured weave.

HEMSBY EMBROIDERY A modern angular embroidered trellis representative of sailing ropes and knots on board an oceangoing yacht.

SAILOR This tranquil seascape scene is inspired by sailing boats at sea off the picturesque port of Port Isaac, North Cornwall. Many of the marks and textures from the original artwork have been retained in the final design.
