Message from Founder & Chairman Goodrich Global Indonesia

"I recognized the business potential in marketing wallcovering, which inspired me to embark on a new venture. In the early days, my wallpaper idea did not take off, as the market was not yet familiar with the product that was in 1978!"

Fueled by a strong belief that wallcovering would become a significant element in the interior design industry, and driven by confidence and perseverance, I began a business journey in partnership with Goodrich Global Singapore, culminating in the establishment of Goodrich Global Indonesia in 1991.

Today, wallcovering is widely embraced in the interior design sector.

Alongside it, other product categories fabric, carpet, and flooring have gained rapid market acceptance. Goodrich Global Indonesia has firmly established its presence and continues to lead the industry, not only as a market leader in wallcoverings but also as a specialist in a range of interior finishing products.

Our employees, partners, and customers are integral to our success. I have always believed that employees are our most valuable asset, a principle proven time and again throughout our journey. Despite facing numerous challenges, particularly during the 1997–1998 monetary crises, our resilient team consistently stayed the course and moved forward.

We also place great value on our partners. My longstanding and strong relationship with Chan Chong Beng, Founder and Chairman of Goodrich Global, has nurtured a foundation of trust that underpins both Goodrich Global Headquarters and Goodrich Global Indonesia, ensuring sustainable business growth. Strengthening this further is our successful co-branding strategy, which forges robust alliances with esteemed interior design brands to create powerful synergies.

I have been fortunate that my Successor, Zalfrid Pardomuan, showed early interest in this business.

Starting as a salesman to learn the ropes, he gradually worked his way up. For the past fifteen years, he has led the company, building strong and empowered management teams that oversee our headquarters, regional offices, and six Goodrich Galleries across Indonesia.

With customer satisfaction at the heart of our business, we continually stay attuned to innovations and trends in interior design, allowing us to maintain and enhance the quality of our expertise in serving customers. Reaching our four decades is a truly memorable milestone, and as we continue to lay the groundwork for sustained growth, we look forward to achieving many more remarkable milestones in the years ahead.

My Father spent over a decade training me as his successor after I expressed interest in the interior furnishing business. Continuing his legacy, I aim to elevate the company to the next level by fostering innovation and creativity. This involves a novel approach to leadership, cultivating a culture of creativity, exemplified by our strategy of decentralized management across offices and galleries throughout Indonesia.

As more people embrace environmental consciousness, the demand for eco-friendly products has grown.

Goodrich Global now offers a comprehensive range of environmentally responsible products, including wallcoverings, fabrics, carpets, and flooring. We also monitor emerging trends in sustainable materials to ensure our offerings remain relevant and responsible.

As the second generation management, I have prioritized expanding our business. We now operate regional offices and Goodrich Galleries in many of Indonesia’s major cities, with plans to further grow in line with market demand. Our portfolio has even expanded to include the Goodrich Suites Hotel in Jakarta.

Our unwavering dedication to quality has been our greatest strength, building trust and fostering strong relationships with customers and partners. Such achievements would not have been possible without the hard work and commitment of our employees, who remain our most valuable asset.

Goodrich Global Indonesia, began its journey in 1991, establishing the business

through Griya Interindo Abadi, which served as its first headquarters in Jakarta. As Founder and Chairman, Mr. Andry Rizal Mutheardy successfully expanded Goodrich Global Indonesia’s presence in the local interior design industry by opening galleries in Surabaya, Malang, and Semarang.

Currently, in Jakarta, Goodrich operates three galleries located at Antasari Street, Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK), and BSD City. Through these galleries, Goodrich offers a wide selection of innovative and diverse products, catering to customer needs while emphasizing a refined taste for art and lifestyle that reflects the individuality of each client.
