Caremy’s Furniture owner, Eloy, has been in the furniture business for over 10 years. He started as a delivery man, and then he moved up to become the delivery manager after he had the opportunity to become a sales representative in the business. He decided to take on the challenge, alongside his wife Marina, of opening their own furniture store after several years of being a sales representative. They opened the store in January 2020.

On top of all the challenges of opening a new business, the unexpected occurred a few months down the road when the pandemic began. The store was shut down because of this pandemic, but a couple of weeks later, we were able to operate again and continue to serve the community. Many people were in a nesting mode while being stuck at home; most of the community wanted to make the most of their space because their homes had to take on many roles, such as an office, school, or refuge. This became a blessing for the store as people would come in wanting to make those roles in their home possible: “We were happy to be able to provide our community with the furniture they were looking for.”

Through the months, Caremy’s was faced with new challenges as the vendors started to run low on inventory, which started to leave many items on backorder or completely out of stock. Getting the furniture the customers needed started to become very difficult, but the support of our community continued to be there. “We cannot thank our community enough for being patient and for sticking with us through these times. They really understood our situation and waited for their orders even if they knew the wait would be a little longer. Because of our community’s support and patience, we are still in business today.”

Eloy and Marina feel very blessed to be able to serve the community with quality and affordable furniture. “We are very thankful for our community; they have supported us and have really helped us push through this pandemic. We have established relationships with our loyal customers and appreciate all of you. We would love to invite everyone who has not had the chance to visit our store to come in and give us a chance. We would be very happy to assist in any way possible.”
