We Christians are well aware of the necessity and the power of words. In the beginning was the Word. He was with God, He was God, and everything that was made was made by Him (John 1:1). Our faith came by hearing and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). The word spoken by Jesus cleanses us (Ephesians 5:26; John 15:3), and the humble receiving of the engrafted word is able to save our souls (James 1:21). Pray without ceasing and without doubting for all heart; acknowledge Him in everything, and He will direct men everywhere, and know that the effectual, fervent prayer your path (Proverbs 3:5-6).
