In business, some believe a women’s place is at home, or simply as a maidservant however the writings of Paul in Romans, tells us Phoebe, was a deacon who served with the overseers of the church. Her appointment as a deacon not only radiant her leadership skills, it also proves women were seen as leaders by the early church leaders. In ministry, some interpret the writings of Paul in Corinthians as women are inferior, forgetting that Paul also wrote in Galatians that there is neither male nor female to God for all are one in Christ. Although this topic has the potential of becoming a great debate, the word of God is real, therefore I will leave you with this, it was Mary Magdalene who first witness a risen Jesus. Despite all of the controversy surrounded around the beliefs of women holding the position of pastor; I was blessed with the opportunity to meet six phenomenal women of God who have accepted their calling to pastor and to be the best preachers God has called them to be. In this issue, I share the ministerial biography of these Godly women whom are much like, Mary of Jerusalem, Lydia, Nympha, Prisca and Aquila, Philemon and Apphia — faithfully leading their ministries from their homes and from abroad. Hearing their stories and understanding their “why” despite all of the outward and inward criticism was simply amazing. I am proud to introduce and honored to shine a light on these unapologetic, bold women of God: Pastor Dorothy Ferguson, Pastor Karla Bowick, Pastor Gloria Dennis, Pastor Loretta Dunkley, Pastor Theresa Johnson, and Pastor Shavon Graham. Pastor Gloria Dennis is the Pastor of Sure Word Fellowship, Inc. Sure Word Fellowship, Inc. was founded in her home community of Jonesville, in 2014, under the apostolic covering of Faith & Works Outreach Ministries. Theresa Johnson is the Pastor of Common Ground Women’s Ministry. Prior to her calling, Pastor Johnson was a victim of domestic violence suffering in silence. Having no earthly person to talk to, she talked to God and believed in his promises for her life. It was her trust in him that allowed her to escape two abusive marriages. Her testimony of victory and her passion for strengthening other women suffering from domestic violence gave her the vision to organized Common Ground Women’s Ministry, also known as C.G.W.M. C.G.W.M. was established in 2017 and is based on God and his redemption for humanity. Through this ministry, a C.G.W.M. dialogue session was birth to help individuals with common interest talk through their life struggles. On her 38th birthday, October 31, 2000, Pastor Johnson felt a quickening spirit and knew then the Lord had chosen her. She accepted her call to preach the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and became a student in the word at The Word of Grace and Truth Bible Institute, Tampa, FL; from there she attended Grace and Truth Christian University, Tampa, FL were she received her B.A. in Theology and Ministry License in 2007. Pastor Shavon Graham is the Pastor of True Vine Gospel Church. True Vine Gospel Church is a non-denominational church “without walls” who's purpose is telling God’s truth. In doing so, “they stay connected with the vine’ (God), so that the saints are perfected for the work of the ministry.” Their mission is to be an affective part of what God is doing on earth to win souls and to seek His face. Pastor Graham as more than a decade of preaching, teaching, and counseling, which enables her to reach others with warmth, transparency, and strength. Her objective is to deliver the Word of God so that people will develop and grow stronger into living the Word and applying it. Before her ministry and formal Christian education, Pastor Graham ministered to, counseled and showed an abundance of love to her family, many of whom she was able to instill the word of Christ and witness their salvation and deliverance from drug and alcohol abuse. In addition to her family, Pastor Graham has also provided counseling to young men and women at drug rehabilitation centers such as ACTS and DACCO, both located in Tampa FL and at local hospitals in the Tampa Bay area. She also leads a prayer session at her place of employment before the start of the workday. Pastor Graham, she loves the Lord and Savior and his people. Pastor Graham accepted her call to minister in 2007. In a quest to study herself approved unto God, she enrolled as a student at Grace & Truth Christian University, Tampa, FL, later receiving her Masters in Christian Counseling. Pastor Graham credits her spiritual leaders in the ministry: Pastor Stephen Nunn, Pastor Craig Holloway, Pastor Dozier, and Apostle Yaber for instilling the necessary qualities of a Christian leader in her. She states, “these men are a part of the reason of who I am today.” Pastor Graham is a native of Tampa, FL. She is also the proud mother of Vonteshea and Donald. What do you do after IT (cancer in my case) has happened to you??? For me at 40, married, one of the Fab 4, I have a great job, church, friends and family I felt I had it all together BUT God!! I've realized that everyday is a blessing & to give thanks with a grateful heart. I strive to be the best version of me and to love with the love of God while knowing I don't always get it right!! Because of that I've quick to apologize, respond differently, think more, and talk less and press toward my hopes and dreams. Romans 12:12 Rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulations; continuing instant in prayer. Pictures of me below are at every stage of IT happening to me from before, during and after what you see constant is a smile but what you can't see is that I smiled because of who's I am/was and who I was trusting throughout the process and that's God!!! Money is a master. (Greek: Kurios). Money is a god. Money is also coins, cash, currency, notes, species, wealth, riches, and more. The God of the heaven and of the earth is the true source of money and all of the money belongs to him. “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness: and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33 Servant of God, whereas, being instructed by God, to do these things “today.” All the money of dedicated things which the fields and the land bringeth forth. Believe that the heavenly riches will accrue. The things that are brought into the house of the Lord, even the money of everyone that “TITHE.” The money of every man is accountable. And all the money that cometh into any man’s heart is brought into the house of the Lord. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Matthew 16:26 Christ warns that money and physical goods are false gods and should not be servant, all. He also urges believers to seek kingdom interest, and he promised that material needs would also be meet. Money cannot buy salvation. So, therefore, flee from the love of money and from striving after material wealth and become obedient to the word of God and follow after righteousness, the fruit of the spirit. Money is a defense. “Too Good Soles” Campaign The “Two Good Soles” campaign is in its fourth year and is seeking to collect as many new pairs of shoes and socks as possible. In a collaborative effort between Pasco County government and the school district, the Pasco County Tax Collector’s Office is once again participating in the new shoes and socks collection campaign to assist local students and families in need. The tax collector’s offices in Pasco County will be collection sites for these donations between now and October 25, the final day of the collection. “It is heartbreaking to know that children come to school without socks or shoes in good repair,” states Pasco Tax Collector Mike Fasano. “I am pleased that our office is once again part of this county-wide effort to collect as many pairs of footwear as possible. I encourage everyone who is able to please stop by one of our offices and leave a donation. Every item will go to a student in need who attends a school in Pasco County.”

The need for shoes is primarily at the middle and high school level, although shoes for elementary school students will also be welcomed. The school district reports that the sizes most in need are children’s shoes 9 and up, adult shoes of all sizes and socks of any size. It is recommended that sneakers, shoes and socks be of a “neutral” color, but all donations of new items will be accepted. No flip-flops or open-toes shoes, please. (What Did You Do With It?) Part II To often, Christians associate the word ‘stewardship’ with ‘money’; but Christian Stewardship is much more than just finances. The dictionary defines a Steward as “a person who manages another person’s property or affairs.”

Biblical stewardship recognizes three important facts. 1. God is the owner of everything, and that includes every part of our lives (Psalm 24:1) 2. Our role as stewards is to God’s resources (Genesis 1:26) – (God created and gave man ‘dominion’ over His [God’s] creation)
3. Stewards are to be faithful (1 Corinthians 4:1-2) – (Stewards are to be faithful) The most important aspect of Stewardship that everyone needs to understand is the fact that ‘it’ does not belong to you! What is ‘it’? ‘IT’ is whatever you have been given charge over. The apostle Paul explains it best by saying, “For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building” (1 Corinthians 3:9). Since everything belongs to God, we need to have the attitude and view that our things are His things, our stuff is His stuff, that all we could have now, all we have lost, all we will have, is His, including our very bodies and spiritual gifts. We are mere lessees of the property, money, relationships, talents, time, and even our lives. That means all that we are and all that we have are not even ours to begin with. They belong to God. Therefore, the duty of the Christian is to learn how to become responsible Stewards of all that God has entrusted to our care, and use it to the best of our abilities for His glory (1 Corinthians 4:2). It is our divinely given opportunity to join with God in His worldwide and eternal redemptive movement (Matthew 28:19-20). Stewardship is not God taking something from us; it’s God allowing us to manage that which is already His. I Remain In “HIS” Service… Pastor B.E.
