Recruitment FAQs

I’ve read that sales and recruitment can have high turnovers – why is this? Recruitment is a fast-paced, high pressured environment to work in and it’s not for everyone You will need to hit weekly targets and be able to work well under pressure and have the tenacity and resilience to keep working hard, even when it feels like you are not being successful at first Whilst recruitment can look easy – it isn’t. There’s a lot of sales and influencing skills recruitment consultant use(The best ones make it look easy) It takes lots of patience, practice, openness to learning and hard work! When the going gets tough, lots of people decide they want an easier job (9-5, no targets, no rejection) – recruitment isn’t that You need the hunger to go the extra mile. If your client calls you at 5pm and needs someone at short notice to make the placement, you might have to work later in order to connect with the best candidates before any competitors If you have what it takes, recruitment is a fantastic career and we want to hear from you!

Is it really true you can earn 100K in your first years in recruitment? Yes, some entry level Consultants will performer really quickly and the great thing about recruitment is the better you do, the more you earn and there is no cap on this!

Do I need a CV to apply? You can apply to Programme One without a CV. If you do have one, we would recommend adding this, as it’s a good chance to show off your experience (see our CV guide on page 17)

Do the Programme One recruitment agencies support flexible working? Yes, generally speaking, recruitment is a dynamic, innovative, fun sector. We speak to clients across the market and need to lead by example in topics affecting talent attraction!
