“Thank you” to so many wonderful customers and friends who’ve given us the opportunity to serve our local community for the past 75 years. On behalf of generations of the Goodman family and our incredible employees who’ve supported us for so many years, we thank you all for allowing us to play a small part in celebrating the special moments of your lives.

Celebrating our 75th anniversary at the same time we celebrate the very special moms in our lives seems very appropriate. You see, although you’ve always known us as Goodman & Sons Jewelers, the truth is there are two very special moms who’ve been the inspiration and driving force behind our family jewelry business.

It was actually my father’s mother, Lena Goodman, who had the vision to move from a small watch shop to truly being in the jewelry business.

She brought with her a resounding passion to make certain each and every customer received a level of service unmatched by any other store.

This stemmed from her own intuitive love, care, and empathy for people.

Lena’s sons—Stuart, Ned, and Eric—firmly embraced their mother’s value of going the extra mile to take care of each and every customer.

Today, it’s my wife Glynda, the mother of our two children, who carries forward the same vision and passion as we serve a whole new generation of customers.

A dramatic change from the first store front to the current look of the Goodman & Sons stores in Williamsburg and Hampton.

The leaders of the family business in the early days: Lena and Stanley with sons Stuart, Ned, and Eric.

Over the past 75 years, Goodman & Sons have served generations of families, friends, newlyweds, and our country’s military here on the peninsula we call home. Although much has changed at Goodman & Sons Jewelers, one thing has not: a tradition of family values, ethics, and genuine care for every customer.

Where it all began, the patriarchs of the family business, Lena and Stanley Goodman, on their wedding day.

Our family heritage will always be the defining difference that sets Goodman & Sons apart from all others.

Although much too early to say, it appears Grayson and Addison are looking forward to their future role in the family business.
