For almost a decade MCEC has been the proud home of the Good Friday Appeal, donating countless hours and millions of dollars in venue hire, technology, resources and catering to support the event. MCEC provides the invaluable space to house Kids Day Out which hosted over 102,500 visitors this year, the Phone Room, Money Counting Room and the all-important behind-the-scenes operations for the Good Friday Appeal. This combined with their team’s expertise, flexibility and professionalism makes them an exceptional host and partner.

Telstra’s continued support of the Good Friday Appeal was outstanding once again this year, providing exceptional technical and service with the phone room receiving 8,362 calls on the day, with a peak of over 1500 calls at 7:30 pm. Telstra’s support also extended to providing a prize for the Good Friday Appeal Raffle, and running a data analysis program with volunteers from Telstra Helix / Data 4 Good, enabling informed strategic decisions for the Appeal.

City Of Melbourne

We extend our sincere thanks to the City of Melbourne for their support and continued sponsorship of Kids Day Out. This event has become a beloved tradition for Families to attend on Good Friday and we are grateful to have the City’s support in making it a success year after year.

We are thrilled to announce that this year’s Kids Day Out was a resounding success, raising over $450,000 on the day. With over 102,500 visitors, the event also plays a vital role in supporting the vibrancy of the city, as it brings in people who visit and spend time in the city.
