Bob Goodall, Jr. began building homes in 1983. Locally operated, Goodall Homes builds single family homes, cottages, townhomes, condos, and villas throughout Tennessee, Alabama, and Kentucky.

The Goodall Homes team mirrors Bob’s commitment to service and excellence in homebuilding. This commitment has been recognized through various awards throughout the years.

In 2021, Goodall Homes acquired Legacy Homes of Alabama, the largest private homebuilder in Huntsville, Alabama. Founded in 2013, the four principals of Legacy Homes, Jeff Korotky, Mark Hunter, Shawn Fairburn and Dan Nash, have over 100 years of experience in the home building industry and are committed to providing first-class customer experiences.

Like Goodall Homes, Legacy Homes strives to provide high quality homes utilizing innovative designs. The two companies also share a deep commitment to creating a positive, impactful culture for their Team Members that is based on their shared core values of honesty and integrity. A History of Excellence Inspiring the Future While Goodall Homes is locally operated, in 2016—Clayton, one of America’s largest homebuilders, announced it acquired Goodall Homes. Goodall is the second site-built housing company to become part of Maryville-based Clayton, a subsidiary of Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway. Clayton, through its site-building arm, Clayton Properties, entered the site-built housing market to expand its portfolio of housing options to homebuyers.
