A community at one for a family who could do with a helping hand. After weeks of preparation the community of Nagambie came together as one for a family in need at the Kidd Family Fundraiser Trivia Night raising funds for the Kidd family who are going through an incredibly difficult time. “The call went out to the community to come along to a trivia night to raise funds for the Kidd family as dad Steve battles critical illness in hospital. We’re happy to report the call got answered in a massive way with over $30,000 raised to help the family in their time of desperate need,” said Danielle Edwards member of the organising team. Auction items, drinks and prizes were generously

donated by businesses and individuals in support of the Kidd family. The evening was hailed an absolute success with an incredible turn out at the Nagambie Mechanics Institute for the Kidd Family! “Mark Boyer also did what he does best and ran through our auction list bringing in some fabulous dollars for some equally amazing donations,” said event organiser Alison Bale. “Everything was donated and the entire 100 percent of the takings went straight to the Kidd Family which was unbelievable. They say it takes a village and we certainly have one of the best,” added Alison. In what has been termed as an epic night, quiz masters Anna and Phil Close kept the crowd engaged as the 180 strong gathering competed for the title of trivia royalty. It has been said that there are serious singers among us and the competitive streak is still alive and well in downtown Nagambie.

“We would just like to say a huge thank you to all those who pulled together friends and family and helped us rally around one,” said Danielle. After a well fort competition the Cubbin family were crowned the winners after performing well across all categories. Congratulations to the organises for creating a wonderful evening and raising much needed funds for the Kidd family as they continue along this difficult journey. “No one wants to be that person, but how heartwarming to know that if any one of us were dealt a bad hand in life that this beautiful community that we live in would gather around and help make life a little bit brighter. We can't thank you all enough and we hope that all that came had a great night,” said Alison. “We have both been brought to tears by the generosity of everyone. Once again we say THANK YOU,” ended Danielle and Alison. Continued on page 3.
