NEW LOOK PHARMACY

T

here’s plenty of excitement at the former FW Parris store on High Street Nagambie with Rebecca Baker opening the doors of what is now the new home of Rebecca Baker Pharmacy.

“We are excited to be able to expand our Pharmacy ranges and services, including sleep apnoea and vaccinations. We are also able to showcase our giftware, fragrance, jewelry and beauty products, which we’ve always ranged but never been able to display properly,” said Rebecca.

Since purchasing the FW Parris property in 2020, Rebecca Baker and her partner Damian Sanderson have focused their attention on fitting out and transforming the once hardware store into the new look, modern, state of the art pharmacy.

“We’re very appreciative of the community's support, their understanding and patience during this transition phase. We’ve been searching through boxes locating items and our phone lines have been down. We look forward to hosting an official opening at some stage when we’re settled,” said Bec.

“There have been a lot of trades through the doors to get us to this point, I am so grateful and proud of the finished product,” said Rebecca.

Flowers by the talented Julie Cubbin from Bloomin Natives will be available to purchase in store.

Can I thank the staff - and also mention our family and friends that have helped ?

The new light-filled store offers a safe retail option for consumers with the increased floor space making it easier to better manage the number of shoppers and social distancing requirements.

“It has been a mighty team effort with our staff, family and friends working long hours to relocate the stock from the old pharmacy to our new premises. I couldn’t have managed this without them,” said Rebecca.

The foot traffic hasn't been in search of Rapid Antigen Tests but instead community members are browsing the aisles perusing the products on the shelves.

“We were without power one day last week so we were able to make a lot of progress with the move. It was a hot day but our team got the job done,” said Rebecca.

With kids heading back to school comes a new challenge for families in 2022 with the unknown of how the year will unfold with regard to the COVID19 pandemic. Regular Rapid Antigen Tests will become a big part of the school day in an attempt to stop outbreaks in their tracks.

“Rapid Antigen Tests have been difficult to get hold of but we expect the demand to decline with the roll out of free test kits being distributed to school children and staff this week,” said Rebecca. If you or your kids are feeling a bit anxious about these, here’s an excellent link to a video showing just how to do them with minimal distress. https://youtu.be/AyrggazYk_0 The Community Voice wishes Rebecca Baker Pharmacy all the very best at their new location. 253 High St, Nagambie VIC 3608
