CHAMPIONS OF RURAL WOMEN'S DAY CONNECT IN NAGAMBIE
Rural Women’s Day’ is a registered not-for-profit enterprise led by Founder, Event & Project Manager, Jackie Elliott, to connect rural and regional women through Community, Collaboration and Celebration. The ‘Rural Women’s Day’ brand grew beyond expectation following the inaugural sell out event held in the Southern Grampians on October 15, 2019.
In 2020 ‘Rural Women’s Day’ published a collaborative keepsake magazine to connect with their community during the pandemic, with 700 copies distributed across Australia & New Zealand and the social media community has grown organically with over 12,000 followers. ‘Rural Women’s Day’ now offers a platform to support and encourage events hosted in regional communities to connect and celebrate rural women. The second installment of Rural Women’s Day in Nagambie did not disappoint and as promised it was bigger and better! Elisha and Krystie were thrilled with the response from the local community and were so excited to welcome local women to celebrate Rural Women’s Day in a space where rural women broaden their
professional and social networks. Guests arrived in fine Spring Fun fashion at Nagambie Waters Restaurant at Kirwans Bridge on Friday October 13 to be greeted with a glass of bubbles, pop up shops and a beautiful display of fresh flowers including a workshop from AvonLea Flowers. It was a day that celebrated outstanding women from the region who thrive in their fields and give so much to their communities with guest speakers sharing their life journey to a captivated audience. The 2024 event will no doubt be greatly anticipated by all rural champions of Victoria, and we can’t wait to see what the Nagambie installment looks like. Congratulations to the team that delivers this event each year to Nagambie and there really is no better way to celebrate regional and rural Victoria on Rural Women's Day.
