I believe in an architectural design approach based on contemporary social, technological and environmental interactions. Consider architecture as a multidisciplinary practice that allows the development of innovative and local reflections.

1.river stations
context
Informal cities have grown in recent years around the world, where marginalized communities and rural migrants look for affordable places on the city limits to establish their homes due to the cost of living in formal cities. In this way, these communities don’t have access to public infrastructure like sewage systems, parks, or water accessibility, because of informal settlements are not under the public administration’s power, causing an unconscious use of local natural resources as rivers and forests.
analysis This is the case of the Fucha river basin, communities have established their homes along the river establishing informal settlements and changing the natural dynamics of the area. However, people in the area have different expressions of ownership, to configure their own public spaces, which requires a change in relations with the environment. therefore, working with the community became a vital tool for the design of an architecture that fosters new relationships between landscape and people. In this way, two activities were proposed that seek proposals and points of view of the community for the recovery of the Fucha River.
project The project “River Stations proposes a public infrastructure with the aim of fostering new relationships between people and natural resources. The project is composed of intially three (3) small stations located along the rivers, with the aim of being meeting nodes for informal communities. The program is conformed by two objectives, First of all, spaces based on local expressions of appropriation like graffitti, break dance or
urban garden. Secondly, a system to filter and clean water from the river, in order to understand how the environment works. Finally, the project is proposed as the starting point to replicate this kind of public infrastructure that seeks to enhance the relationship between informal settlements with the landscape.
project River stations’ structure is focused on placing itself on the river border line consciously. Therefore, the project proposes a structural system that not only supports extreme climate, but also, can be a non-excavated structure. In this way, the structure is composed of cold rolled steel columns and beams, which are assembled by both welding and mechanical joints. On the other side, each station has a river water cleaning system activated by manual water pumps. Taking into account this system, the project has different water filtration process tanks in order to not only show people how they can conserve their natural resources, but also be a live process of natural river recovery.

2. sensory garden
context
Exceptionality is currently a cultural condition that is usually invisible to us, leaving disabled people out from our dynamics. However, the project makes diabled people the exceptional visible, by including them in daily dynamics. In this way we achieve the inclusion of exceptional people understanding diversity as something inherent to human beings. The “sensory garden is an opportunity to experience situations where senses are translaparated through moments related to nature, water and vegetation; allowing people to understand the environment from another perspective. This architectural project takes the community out of context, to take them to a heterotopic place capable of changing and growing over time.
analysis This game is called “sensory mobile”, it’s composed of boxes “artefacts” that recreate different synesthetic experiences based on the Bogotá River Pollution from the perspective of water as a sensitive element. People from different conditions came to participate, having a sysnesthetic experience that would take them out of their reality. The results we obtained are based on the fact that people associate everything they sense with the neighborhood due to lack of opportunities. Secondly, exceptionality is seen as a condition of being inferior. Finally, beyond a conclusion, we wondered, how can we propose an architectural project that takes people out from their context in order to give exceptional people opportunities to be part of the socierty in equal conditions.
project
The project promotes spaces of exchange within neighborhood dynamics, where people with disabilities can be an active actor of them. In this way, the project proposes three (3) intervention scales taking into account the precarious conditions of public space in the place. On the one hand, the smallest scale are spaces located on terraces where people can have an encounter with themselves. Secondly, spaces located in empty lots, where exceptional people teach how they perceive the world to stimulate tall the community. And finally, the largest scale that will supply the lack of public space in the area.

3. rural housing for peasants
context Colombian rural areas have experienced a change in their dynamics due to the extensive tourism that has a low amount of peasant population due to the impossibility of owning their own land. This situation has forced a continuous migration of the rural population to the cities, leaving our rural areas in charge of companies that are not aware of the importance of natural resources. The project is located in Quindío, a Colombian department where coffee is the main source of income, however, large industries have planted non-local trees such as eucalyptus and pines that dry the river basins. 75°40'0"W

project
Architecture has the opportunity to propose new projects that allow the return of a peasantry. In this way, the project wants to establish housing that not only promotes the return of the rural population, but also their empowerment with polyculture strategies, aware of the terrain in which they are implanted. The project proposes a module that can be transformed in different spaces depending on the family necessities. Due to the terrain, the transportation between modules is done by gondola lifts In this way, the project fosters new relationships among the peasants, conscious agriculture and the reforestation of the native forest.

project
During my architectural internship at El equipo Mazzanti + Horizontal I had the opportunity to be part of the team that worked on the design of four schools. In my case, I participated in the landscape design proposal (analysis, drawings, schemes). The team proposes a landscape strategy focused on modules that could be transformed not only for students and school staff, but also for the community that lives around the schools. These modules allow different activities, being flexible spaces for users.

project
As part of my experience in my architectural internship in El Equipo Mazzanti + horizontal, I worked on the consolidation (analysis, drawings and schemes) for the strategy for the new Panama City Waterfront, where one of the most important aims was recovering the environmental functions through strategies that produce new resilient relationships between people and the local environment. I had the opportunity to work on different scales, since big context analysis to local communities. the strategy is divided by two main scales, firstly, nine irtervention polygons were selected in order to solve differentes contextual problematics. Second, the team focused on one of the polygons (#4), and proposed a pier to activate the spaces, recognize the ecosystem and empower communities.

project
During my architectural internship at El Equipo Mazzanti + Horizontal, I had the opportunity to participate on the design and logistics for planning a living laboratory that generated scenarios in which the community, designers and institutions discussed the future of the Panama’s Coastline. The team proposed activities based on the past, the present and the future.
time capsules
Time Capsules: we designed a device made with recycled bottles that collected environmental information about air quality, tides and temperature.
time machine
through the use of scaffolding structures, we designed a time machine that showed the Time Capsules Data on how the coastline has changed in recent years.
workshops
We design classes based on urban gardens using recycled materials. Beyond the objects, the activity fostered discussion about the role of the community for the preservation of the coast.
bycicle
participants could take a ride on a bicycle, which was equipped with 360 VR glasses; People watched a video about the current state of the sea and the coast.
